I just did this! We went with Pride of Maui because they have good equipment for little ones, like boogie boards with little windows so the kids can float on them, but still see into the water. They also have kid sized goggles and snorkels and life jackets.

I can remember going on the Pride of Maui when I was 9. It was fantastic! The lifeguards even let me and my sisters sit on their surfboards with them.
Stephani
We did the Pride of Maui too...over ten years ago haha. It was great then and evidently still great now.

Family Friendly Snorkeling Tours in Maui
Maui is a paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts, with its crystal-clear waters and abundant marine life. If you're planning a family vacation to Maui and looking for a memorable snorkeling experience, here are some recommendations:
Molokini & Turtle Town-Calypso
The Molokini & Turtle Town-Calypso tour is an excellent choice for families with children aged 8 and older. This tour takes you to the crescent-shaped Molokini crater, where you can snorkel and witness vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish. After Molokini, the tour continues to Turtle Town, a popular spot for spotting Hawaiian green sea turtles in their natural habitat.
Reef Dancer Snorkel Cruise
The Reef Dancer Snorkel Cruise is a family-friendly tour that caters to all ages and skill levels. This tour visits some of the best snorkeling spots along the Maui coastline, including Molokini Crater and Turtle Arches. The boat is equipped with easy access to the water, and the crew provides guidance and assistance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
Kapalua Coastal Trail Snorkel Tour
If you prefer a land-based snorkeling adventure, consider the Kapalua Coastal Trail Snorkel Tour. This tour takes you along the scenic coastal trail, where you'll have the opportunity to snorkel at various coves and bays. The guides provide snorkeling gear, instructions, and safety briefings, making it a great option for families with young children.
Considerations for Families with Young Children
If you're traveling with a 23-month-old, it might be advisable for one parent to stay back at the condo or beach while the other parent and the 8-year-old enjoy the snorkeling tour. Snorkeling can be physically demanding, and it's essential to ensure the safety and comfort of all family members.
When choosing a snorkeling tour, consider factors such as the duration of the tour, the level of physical activity required, and the availability of life jackets and other safety equipment. Additionally, it's always a good idea to inform the tour operators about any special needs or concerns you may have.
Regardless of the tour you choose, snorkeling in Maui is an unforgettable experience that will create lasting memories for your family. With proper preparation and guidance, you can embark on a safe and enjoyable underwater adventure in the Hawaiian paradise.

Any recommendations on family friendly snorkelling tours in Maui?
I'm looking at Molokini & Turtle town-Calypso. Any others we should look at?
Our kids will be 8 years old and 23 months when we go. Debating just our 8 year old and I going and dad and 23 month old can hang back at the condo/beach.
