We stayed at the Keio plaza hotel in Tokyo, they offered shuttle service to and from Tokyo Disney and Tokyo Disney sea. Have an amazing time!

We stayed in Mimaru hotels in Tokyo (Ginza) and Kyoto (right outside of the train station). Both were great for families and very large by Japanese standards.

We stayed at the Prism Inn Ogu while we stayed in Tokyo for our Family of 5 - apartment with a loft style. Front desk staff very nice. Supermarket a block away along with other eating out places. Very quiet area and JR train station was a 10mins walk.

Last year we stayed in Mimaru hotels while we were inJapan. They were really nice and large. We chose to stay at Disneyland hotels as it’s not very much on the off season on a weekday…and we got early entry by staying. We stayed in Tokyo for 10 days…with 3 at Disneyland. Then we did another 16 days travelling around Japan (Hiroshima, Kyoto, Osaka, etc). Join some Japan (and Tokyo Disney) travel FB pages…lots of detailed itineraries posted in some of them.

Just got back from Japan. We went to both Disney parks. We got to Disneyland park at 8. It took 1 hour to get in. Super long lines. Disney Sea we got there 8 didn’t get into the park until 9:30. I have never seen such long lines.. both parks opened at 9-9. The trains and subways are so efficient you can stay almost and get to Disney. Hotels were more expensive closer to the parks. Hace a wonderful time.

We stayed at Mimaru Tokyo Station East (awesome location with a separate bedroom and close to subway, 7-eleven, family mart and Lawson) and at Toy story hotel. Recommend team lane borderless (book the first time slot), Harry Potter studio tour, and Kirby cafe. We also went to a yomiuri giants baseball game - super fun!! For all of those, book the day/time it opens.
Ueno zoo was fun and cheap - they have 3 pandas. We went up shibuya sky and it was just meh imo.

Go on YouTube and look up 20 or 25 things to do in each city. Book your hotel room well in advance.

Vibe. There is something about staying there that feels so magical.

We just booked a trip to Japan to go to Disney Tokyo in late September next year with our family of 5. (Kids will be 5, 7 and 9). Any tips on where to stay in Tokyo or Kyoto as a larger family and things we should see/do? We’re there for a total of 10 days with 3 days planned for Disney.
