Rupinder thanks - I want a normal sim so I can still make phone calls.
Thorsten
Yasmina, one can make phon calls with eSIM , depending on the plan. The 30 euro Vodafone option in Ireland is really good, Free Mobile in France has a 20 euro plan but you have to pick it up in France.

Go to vodafone get sim card in dublin and top up 25 euro get unlimited data and text for a month and can use all over eu. I do it every year when seeing family
Yasmina

Using Orange Holiday Europe Prepaid SIM Card in Ireland and Europe
If you're heading to Ireland and Europe, you may be wondering whether to buy a SIM card once you arrive or to purchase one in advance. There are pros and cons to both options, but if you're looking for a convenient and affordable way to stay connected, a prepaid SIM card is a great choice.
One of the most popular prepaid SIM card options for travelers to Europe is the Orange Holiday Europe Prepaid SIM Card. This card offers 20GB of data, 120 minutes of talk time, and 1000 text messages for just $60. The card is valid for 14 days, but you can top it up while you're there if you need more data or minutes.
I've used the Orange Holiday Europe Prepaid SIM Card on several trips to Europe, and I've always been happy with the service. The data speeds are fast and reliable, and the coverage is good in most areas. I've never had any problems topping up the card, and the customer service has been excellent.
If you're looking for a prepaid SIM card for your trip to Ireland and Europe, I highly recommend the Orange Holiday Europe Prepaid SIM Card. It's a great value for the price, and it will help you stay connected while you're on the road.
Here are some tips for using the Orange Holiday Europe Prepaid SIM Card:
- Make sure your phone is unlocked before you insert the SIM card.
- Once you insert the SIM card, you will need to activate it by calling the number provided in the instructions.
- You can top up your card online or at any Orange store.
- The card expires 14 days after activation, but you can top it up to extend the validity period.
I hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Hi all!
Heading off to Ireland and Europe in a week for 19 days, and contemplated buying a SIM card (not eSIM) once in Dublin, but came across this through Amazon.
It’s Orange which I know is French for about $60.
Has anyone tried it? I realize it’s good for 14 days, but I understand I can top it up while I’m there.
Thoughts and opinions/clarifications appreciated. Thank you!
