Hello. Planning a trip to Indonesia in May. Possible extension to Malaysia and Singapore. Any suggestions for flights, accommodation, and sightseeing would be appreciated. Thank you.

Tigerair was the cheapest airline and very reliable between the 3. It doesn't fly indonesia direct to malaysia but it does fly indonesia - singapore then singapore - malaysia. Singapore is very expensive so I'd only spend a few days there. Have fun!

I used Air Asia in the fall. The cost of the flight was about $160 one way from DPS to BKI. I think the return flights weren't too much more then that.

I've flown both Air Asia and Jetstar. Both were relatively inexpensive and reliable. Have some chilli crab in Singapore and go eat on Jalan Alor in Kuala Lumpur. If you go to Bali, go dive the U.S.S. Liberty wreck off of Tulamben, and go to the Gili Islands for beaches.

Oh, and the drift dives off of Sanur in Bali are pretty nice as well. It's great, you don't need to move and the world goes by. Just hover and watch!

Tips for Planning a Trip to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore

Flights:

When planning your trip to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore, it's a good idea to book your flights in advance to get the best deals. Consider using a flight comparison website to find the most affordable options. You may also want to look into multi-city flights if you plan on visiting all three countries.

Accommodation:

For accommodation, there are plenty of options ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Consider staying in local guesthouses or homestays for a more authentic experience. Booking.com and Airbnb are great platforms to find accommodation that suits your budget and preferences.

Sightseeing:

Each country has its own unique attractions that are worth exploring. In Indonesia, don't miss the beautiful beaches in Bali, the temples in Yogyakarta, and the orangutans in Borneo. In Malaysia, visit the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, explore the tea plantations in the Cameron Highlands, and relax on the beaches of Langkawi. In Singapore, check out the Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and Sentosa Island.

Additional Tips:

  • Make sure to check visa requirements for each country before your trip.
  • Research the local customs and traditions to respect the culture of each destination.
  • Pack light and comfortable clothing as the weather can be hot and humid in Southeast Asia.
  • Try the local cuisine in each country for a taste of the diverse flavors of the region.

We hope these tips help you plan a memorable trip to Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Have a great time exploring these beautiful countries!

Thank you for considering our suggestions. Safe travels!
