In India: The Golden Temple and Taj Mahal
Leah
I went 15 years ago and I have terrific memories of the Taj Mahal, Jaipur, a Kathakali performance, the Kerela backwaters, and several markets. I don’t think you can go wrong though. India is beautiful!

India is a big country and there is so much to see. It depends on the number of days you have in hand. You could include many places in the south if you are planning on visiting Chennai and Pondicherry. Like Leah said, Kerala should be included. Kerala experiences rains in October though.

I’ve been to Bali twice. Would recommended exploring Ubud for a cultural centre. Have a driver if you need. From there you can drive anywhere. Badugul and Jatiliwuh (rice fields) were my favourites, as well as a hike up Mt. Batur. There is amazing yoga in Ubud, the Monkey Forest, great Babi Guling to eat, art, carvers, a local palace, tons a of silver jewlery and craft. The Gili Islands are beautiful, I only went to Trawanagn. Kuta is more the party scene, so is Seminyak but pricier. I preferred Ubud as it’s more rural and centered in nature.
