Where are the best restaurants and beach bars in Punta Mita/Sayulita, Mexico?

Hi, I was just in Sayulita twice in 3 months. It’s Beautiful there! The best restaurants in sayulita are el Conejo & Rustica. From there, there are many lovely taco stands, the best being tacos Yvan. For ice cream/Mexican juice, Waikika is the best. Try the horchata and pop sickles. Barracuda, has the best drink list and fish dishes. Have the passion fruit margarita! For happy hour and craft cocktails, Cava has the best vibe! their hand pressed paloma is do die for! When you’re over Mexican food, check our la Venezia for pizza. The price is right there! Lastly, I do have a hair/make up recommendation, as I was there for a wedding!

We were in La Cruz in February ‘19, highly recommend the restaurant at the Marina (Frascati), go to the Italian side, there is a lady there that makes fresh pasta daily, the fettuccine alfredo was THE best I’ve ever had and the ambiance and view top notch. Sunday’s they also have a nice market along the marina.

Have you read the tripadvisor Sayulita forum? PLEASE read it! I took my fourth trip to Sayulita in December/January and was sick for two of the ten days I was there, but my friend was bedridden for FIVE days. I’ve traveled to some VERY developing regions (I mean, my profile pic is from the Chernobyl Nuclear Exclusion Zone!) and never seen anything like the rampant sickness in Sayulita.

Carly yes, if you’re referring to the sewage issue, I’ve heard. Definitely not good. We are actually staying in Punta Mita, but I figure some of us will venture out. I’ll definitely read up on what the current situation is like when we go. Not til next spring so hopefully it’s better.
