NASHVILLE: great place to stay is Home2 Suites by Hilton Nashville Vanderbilt- free shuttles to and from Broadway (fairly new, & rooms all have mini kitchens), take in a backstage tour and show at Grand Ole Opry, shopping is great at Opry Mills Mall, Rippy's Ribs on Broadway. MEMPHIS: Best rib joint in the USA (my opinion & I've tried tons & always find myself comparing to this one) is "Central BBQ", Beale Street - great spot for nightlife incl delta blues, jazz, rock, r&b and gospel; you can also visit the ducks at the Peabody Hotel, Graceland is a must! NEW ORLEANS: we've stayed at the "Bourbon Orleans" hotel twice now and love it. Great location (right on the corner of Bourbon & Orleans) - we walk everywhere, reasonable price, but with the beauty and character of it's era. Cafe du Monde for a coffee and beignets; take a City tour that includes graveyards/cemeteries - one of the most memorable tours we've done and if you have time, "Bayou Black Airboat Swamp Tours" took us on an incredible tour that we'd do again and again!

In Memphis, do the National Civil Rights Museum with Lorraine Motel. Very well done museum and even our two teenagers really found it interesting.

We did this trip on 2017. Great choice. Nashville is awesome. Amazing entertainment everywhere. Nash Trash is rated #1 on trip advisor. It is worth the time. Improv X rated. BB Kings bar in Memphis and the amazing restaurant above the bar for a nice dinner out. Itta Bena is the name. BB’s mom. New Orleans

I second the Ruby Slipper! The chicken is divine and also the pulled pork eggs Benedict. They make a great vanilla latte as well.
Also, do Mardi Grass World and you can see how they make the floats for the parade.

Food- Elizabeth’s for brunch- try the praline bacon, eggs with hollandaise sauce and shrimps and yes the pork chops are to die for.
Acme Oyster House- Oysters ofcourse but also the Jambalaya is yummy
Mother’s restaurant- po boy sandwiches
Café Du Monde- famous for its beignets (French dessert) and coffee
Café Beignet- Again yummy beignets and breakfast place
Bars-
Bourbon street is full of bars and bars- we hung out at Maison Jazz bar a lot, cats meow (crazy karaoke bar), there is another bar- French 75 (origin of the cocktail- French 75) – slightly expensive and classy place but must try just for the drink and feel.
Jazz-
Preservation Hall- You have to stand in the queue at least 30-45 mins prior to the show to get the tickets and get it but it is completely worth it!
Frenchmen’s street- this street is full of jazz clubs- Spotted cat is a must visit, Blue Nile was also very nice. You could also try maple leaf.
