Wrote a blog post on Victoria (more of a Christmas theme from last year) but I shared some fave restaurants (OLO is amazing), and some cool things to do! Definitely check out Miniature World and Royal BC Musuem

The Penny Farthing Public House

The food, drinks, and atmosphere is great!

walk along the inner harbor and along the way check out the inside of the Empress Hotel, the Parliament building etc.. and make your way to fisherman's wharf to see the houseboats (you can get fish and chips, ice cream or rent kayaks there). Walk up to Beacon Hill park (if you have kids with you there is a cute little petting zoo and lots of duck ponds and pretty gardens). If you have time I would highly recommend going to Butchart Gardens (about 45 mins away from town but easy to drive or catch a tour bus). It's is amazingly beautiful. Through the summer they have fireworks every Sat. While you are out that way you can stop in to the little community of Sidney (a nice pier along the water and a cute walk able town)

Chinatown, Fan Tan Alley Restaurant 3 choice selections, Flavoris dipped cones, Dutch Bakery, Russell books, upstairs and down.

Jam Cafe Victoria for breakfast is a must! But be prepared to wait in line first. (It's worth it.)

The ruby for brunch, bin 4 for burgers, fishhook for Asian fusion, little jumbo for cocktails, explore lower Johnson st for cool little shops or Fishermans wharf or Ogden Point!

Fringe Festival is on is weekend. Might be a show that catches your eye.

I live in Victoria; what exactly are you looking for?
Generic answer: Blue Fox Café, Red Fish Blue Fish (sooo much better than Barb's at Fishermans Wharf; tourists go to Barb's, locals go to RFBF), Beacon Hill Park, Dallas Rd / Ogden Point (breakwater), Fisherman's Wharf, maybe look at taking a water taxi around he harbour (stops at Fishermans Wharf and in front of the Empress, among others)

Hatley Castle at Royals Roads University is super pretty (might be difficult to get to without a car). It's the X-Mansion from the X-Men movies. (Ryan Reynolds and Johnny Depp have both been shooting there this summer). And if you head out that way I'd suggest going to East Sooke Park (you would need a car for sure)

Just got home from Victoria. Loved the harbour water taxi, Terry Fox exhibit at the museum and if you love Italian food, Pagliacci's. And we also loved Bin 4 Burger. So good
