I've been to punta Cana before, one of the nicest beaches I've ever seen, but not much to do other than gang out on the beach
Bonnie
Thank you!
Karen

I think everything is hours outside of Punta Cana so pick a good hotel.

Where to Go in the Dominican Republic
When it comes to planning a trip to the Dominican Republic, there are so many amazing places to choose from that won't break the bank. Here are a few of my favorite spots:
Punta Cana
Punta Cana is known for its beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, and vibrant nightlife. While some resorts can be quite expensive, there are also budget-friendly options available. You can spend your days lounging on the beach, trying out water sports, or exploring the nearby towns.
Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo is the capital city of the Dominican Republic and is full of history and culture. You can visit the Colonial Zone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see historic buildings and monuments. There are also plenty of affordable hotels and restaurants in the city.
Samana Peninsula
The Samana Peninsula is a hidden gem in the Dominican Republic, with stunning beaches, waterfalls, and lush forests. You can take a boat tour to see humpback whales, relax on the beach, or hike to El Limon waterfall. There are also budget-friendly accommodations available in the area.
Overall, the Dominican Republic offers a wide range of affordable and beautiful destinations to explore. Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation or a cultural experience, you'll find something to suit your tastes and budget.
