Can I Escape the Party Scene in Miami in October?

Question:

Going to Florida in October thanks to Chris! I'm looking for itineraries for Miami and the Keys (4 days), St. Kitts, St. Thomas and Nassau (the last 3 are cruise stops). Going with my boyfriend. Not party people. We love culture, animals and surfing. Cheap is good but can go mid-range.
Edit to add: also looking for the best ways to get from Miami to Port Everglades and from Port Everglades to Disney World other than renting a car.

As above, Everglades & Little Havana are interesting to see.
& South Beach is worth walking around checking out the businesses.
Depending when you're going in Oct, you might hit Fantasy Fest in Key West which is definitely a party time if you're trying to avoid that scene.
We stayed in Marathon in the Keys as Key West was too pricey for rooms big enough to fit our family of 5.
I'd suggest renting a bike to get around Key West to avoid traffic & parking congestion.
We were going to stay around Brickell area of downtown Miami as it had a nice balance of things to see & do within walking distance, but then we got a deal & ended up staying in Boca. So unfortunately I can't specify any sights, but there was a good selection.
(Key Biscayne was also on list for "downtown")
Intercoastal tour a bit north of Miami in Fort Lauderdale is good

We did a snorkelling tour/cruise with Floriday snorkelling and sunset cruises off Key West. Very enjoyable and we saw a lot of fish.
Also recommend having the Lobster omelette or Lobster Benedict for breakfast at ‘Blue Heaven’ in Key West one morning.
