Belfast is one of the Lonely Planet’s top destinations in 2018 - Titanic Belfast is the world’s most visited tourist exhibition. Giant’s Causeway of course and the Antrim Coast Road. Game of Thrones was filmed in NI and there’re a lot of tours and places to visit associated with it. Google discover northern Ireland for lots more ideas."

How long did you stay for ?Any particular place that you would recommend staying ?I am also relying on public transit to get around !

I was there for 3 days, as I traveled all over Ireland. I had a car though which made the trip much easier - I can not speak for the public transportation system there. If you go, check out Donegal castle. I like traveling the beaches and going to Bundoran (surfing), as well as checking out Slieve League Cliffs. Have a brilliant time.

Donegal is my favourite county, north or south. It's not easy to get around if you're reliant on public transport but it is possible. Without a car the easiest places to get to are Letterkenny and Donegal Town. I'd give Letterkenny a miss. There are day tours from Donegal Town out to Slieve League and Glencolmbkille, or to the park (name's escaping me at the moment). It is possible to get to Gweedore area or Dunfanaghy on public transport, but it takes a wee bit more planning and time.

The secondary road around the northeast of the island ( between Belfast and Cushendal) is beautiful - lovely little towns along the way
