Le Dieu du Ciel. The Plateau is worth seeing, and they make many of the beers themselves.
Cindy
Old Montreal

Big in Japan for cocktails, Le St-Sulpice for the massive patio.

5295 Parc, great little cocktail bar. Along the same lines, Le Lab.
A few of my go to spots when I lived there was Le Barouf, Plan B, Le Reservoir.
Obeuvoir, Saint Sulpice, Ste Elizabeth have great outdoor patios.
Omg I could go on...
Andy
Go down to the old port
Dovid
Baldwin's Barmacy, Burgundy Lion

Velvet and Apartment

Apartment 200 would be good, run by saint woods dudes who will likely be hosting an after party with performers every night
Lucy
Sandy Gill
Steve Mackinnon in case you two schmucks were wondering where to go

if you're 25+ but want somewhere very hip, do NOT make the mistake of missing Velvet which is a speakeasy located in a sort of cave underground inside a bar that's called, I believe L'Auberge. one of the best nightlife experiences of my life.

Le Lab is also excellent for cocktails as noted, no dancing though.
