Has anyone been to the HONG KONG DISNEYLAND? Is it safe to say that if you are obese chances are I won't be able to go on the rides?

I've been there lots. And I don't think it's an issue?

I'm only asking because someone had reviewed it and said that the rides are more catered to Hong Kong sized people haha. So I didn't want to buy tickets to go and not be able to do anything

Hong Kong Disney really only has a couple rides adults would be interested in - Space Mountain and one other. The rest are for kids.

Grizzly mountain is the other one.

If you're looking for rides and a much more unique experience, don't go to Hong Kong Disney. Instead, go to Ocean Park. It's got the coasters, zoo, aquarium, cable cars, tunnel funicular, historic Chinese village, gardens, and an incredible view.

I don't know about Hong Kong but I went to Disneyland and Disneyland Sea in Tokyo in Japan and was worried about the same thing and there wasn't a problem at all. I'm a 2X

I've been to all the Disneylands and I'm pretty sure the rides are standard sizes. It's not like they are shipping miniature versions to the Asian countries. I think Lincoln brought up a good point. HK Disney is the only one that is 90% kids rides. When my kids were 2 years old, they were already tall enough to ride those 90% of rides. At 4 years old, my kid was able to ride all the rides except one. You are definitely going for the Disneyland experience and not for thrilling adult rides. I agree that Ocean Park is way more adult geared and they upgraded their large aquarium recently so lots to see and do there for an adult.

Check with their Embassies to make sure you have the proper paperwork. You'd hate to get there and find out then what you should have gotten.

The rides in Hong Kong Disney are all standard size, same as in all the parks. However the park is smaller, so fewer rides, but also easy to walk back and forth. Also everything is in English. I really enjoyed this Disney!

Here is a scale comparison of Hong Kong Disney to Hawrelak Park. The Disney Park itself is within the black wide road.

Hong Kong Disneyland for Obese Visitors

Have you ever dreamed of visiting the magical world of Hong Kong Disneyland but worried that your size might prevent you from fully enjoying the rides and attractions? Well, worry no more! In this blog post, we'll dive into the topic of Hong Kong Disneyland's accessibility for obese visitors.

Ride Restrictions and Weight Limits

Like most theme parks, Hong Kong Disneyland has implemented weight and height restrictions for certain rides to ensure the safety of all guests. However, it's important to note that these restrictions are not solely based on weight but also consider factors such as body shape, size, and the ability to be properly secured by the ride's restraint system.

While there are no specific weight limits published for each ride, Hong Kong Disneyland follows guidelines and recommendations from ride manufacturers. For example, some rides may have a maximum weight limit of around 300 pounds (136 kg) or a specific waist size limit.

Accommodating Larger Guests

Hong Kong Disneyland is committed to providing an enjoyable experience for all guests, regardless of their size or shape. The park has made efforts to accommodate larger guests by offering special seating arrangements, modified restraint systems, and test seats at the entrance of certain rides.

Cast members are trained to assist guests in determining if they can safely ride and provide alternatives or suggestions for those who may not meet the requirements. Additionally, some rides have larger seats or modified restraints to accommodate guests of larger sizes.

Tips for Obese Visitors

If you're an obese visitor planning a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland, here are some tips to help you make the most of your experience:

  • Check the park's website or inquire at the guest services desk for information on ride restrictions and accessibility.
  • Arrive early and visit the more popular rides first to avoid longer wait times.
  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes to ensure a pleasant day at the park.
  • Don't hesitate to ask cast members for assistance or guidance if you have any concerns or questions.
  • Be patient and understanding if you're unable to ride certain attractions due to safety concerns.

Remember, Hong Kong Disneyland is committed to providing a magical experience for all guests, and while some ride restrictions may apply, there are plenty of attractions, shows, and experiences that can be enjoyed regardless of size or shape.
