Ferries on the Sunshine Coast

When it comes to ferry travel on the Sunshine Coast, the payment system is different from the route to Victoria. Unlike the Victoria route, where you pay for both ways, on the Sunshine Coast, you only pay for a one-way trip.

Routes and Payment

The main ferry routes on the Sunshine Coast are:

• Horseshoe Bay (West Vancouver) to Langdale (Sunshine Coast)
• Horseshoe Bay (West Vancouver) to Snug Cove (Bowen Island)
• Saltery Bay (Mainland) to Earls Cove (Sunshine Coast)

For all of these routes, you only pay for the one-way trip when you board the ferry. The return trip does not require an additional payment.

Round-Trip Fares

There are some exceptions where round-trip fares are available, but these are typically for specific promotions or packages. For example, BC Ferries occasionally offers discounted round-trip fares for weekend getaways or special events.

However, for regular ferry travel on the Sunshine Coast routes, you only need to pay the one-way fare when you board the ferry in either direction.
