It's our 20th anniversary this year and would love to go to an amazing all inclusive in the carribean, what is your favourite resort? We have never been to the carribean before!

Azul Sensatori outside of Cancun. Upgrade your room to get a room on the lazy river close to the Adult pool! Wonderful restaurants and beautiful resort. My daughter got married there and 45 of us spent a week there. Everyone said it was the nicest resort they have stayed at. This was 4 years ago.

I have heard this about the azul before, will have to check it out! Thx!

I actually agree with Sharron. The waters around those Caribbean islands are beautiful. I would even suggest going on a Eastern or Southern Caribbean cruise and see all of those beautiful islands. We did that for my 60th birthday and it was a wonderful trip.

Charlene, if you decide on a cruise (which would be my first choice) the Celebrity Cruise Lines are wonderful. I’ve gone with 3 different companies and Celebrity tops them all. If you can afford a balcony room go for it. You can sign up for notifications on cruise specials at a site called CruCon. Www.crucon.com Eastern or Southern Caribbean is best. If they stop at Grand Cayman you can snorkel with the stingrays.

If you have never been to the Caribbean before, I would say go all out----by pass Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba (although they will have the least expensive all inclusives) and check out Barbados, St. Lucia or Tortola.......

Definitely a cruise! From Puerto Rico, so you get to visit more of the smaller lovely islands. San Juan is a beautiful city to visit, people speak English, very friendly. It is a more interesting and culturally diverse trip, more memorable than just being in an all inclusive resort.

What was the cruise called...and how do you book it...how long is it and what port does it leave out of

Profile picture of Duška

Duška

7 nights should be fine. ..plus 2-3 nights in San Juan. I took Royal Caribbean and Costa cruises, both were great. They can slightly differ in terms of islands they visit. Make sure the one you pick includes St. Lucia.

Duška Julius-DeLorme thanks for the info. We would like to do this...do you know of an all inclusive in Puerto rico that is not too far from the boat dock...we thought the first week puerto rico and second week cruize..

Yvonne I have never been in an all inclusive in San Juan. I am sure there are good options, breakfast included. There is a lot to see and explore in the old city and many eateries and restaurants. The other option is to go to a beachfront hotel and stay there. Do day trips to the old city. Here's one that's really nice. http://www.booking.com/Share-wvNxGbt

Punta Cana Bavaro Beach is one of 10 top beaches in the world. Beautiful! Stay on the Caribbean side. We just came back from Paradisus. Beautiful resort and beaches.

Profile picture of Kristen

Kristen

Doreen I would disagree. We were there a year ago and it really depend son the resort....sadly a lot of the beach area has washed away and erosion is happening along the resorts
Our beach was great, but as we walked south, the erosion areas got worse.

Profile picture of Doreen

Doreen

Kristen Sad to hear of the erosion.
We were there in Feb/2018 at Bahai Principa and the beach was good, but on the Atlantic side, and back end of March on Caribbean side and beaches were beautiful , 4 weeks ago. There was no evidence of erosion. I prefer Caribbean side.
