New leaf from abbi?
Jennifer
Don't book this early if you expect a decent price.
Donna
I flew around that time last year. My best fare was about 3 weeks before I left.
Kate
3-6 weeks before you go, too soon
John
go to west jet's home page or another carriers home page..don't rely on travel search engines..just my advice..worked for a major airline for 31 years
Hannah
I would book now. If your dates are flexible, you can get non-stop for less than $500.
The reason you should not wait is because prices only go down prior to departure if they need to sell more seats, if seats are selling as per expected, then the price will only go up. March is a super high-peak time to travel.
Darrell
Check hopper .. it will show you best prices vs dates
Jennifer
I use google fights - you can set alerts for price drop
Darrell
Likely uses the same database
Jeannett

5-Day Itinerary for Winnipeg on a Budget
Winnipeg is a vibrant city with a rich history and culture. However, the cost of flying to Winnipeg can be daunting. Here are a few tips to help you save money on your next trip to Winnipeg:
1. Fly during the off-season.
The best time to fly to Winnipeg is during the shoulder seasons (April-May and September-October). This is when the weather is still mild but the demand for flights is lower, which means you'll be able to find cheaper airfare.
2. Be flexible with your travel dates.
If you're able to travel on weekdays or during the off-season, you'll be more likely to find cheaper flights. Flying into Winnipeg on a Saturday or Sunday will generally be more expensive.
3. Compare prices from different airlines.
Not all airlines offer the same prices for flights to Winnipeg. Be sure to compare prices from different airlines before booking your flight. This is especially important if you're flying during the peak season (June-August).
4. Sign up for flight alerts.
If you're not ready to book your flight just yet, you can sign up for flight alerts. This will allow you to track prices for flights to Winnipeg and receive notifications when prices drop.
5. Consider flying into a nearby airport.
If you're unable to find an affordable flight to Winnipeg, you may want to consider flying into a nearby airport, such as Fargo, Grand Forks, or Thunder Bay. From there, you can take a bus or train to Winnipeg.
6. Take advantage of discounts.
Many airlines offer discounts for students, seniors, and military members. If you qualify for any of these discounts, be sure to ask about them when you're booking your flight.
7. Pack light.
If you're flying on a budget, it's important to pack light. This will help you avoid paying baggage fees.
8. Find affordable accommodations.
There are a number of affordable accommodation options available in Winnipeg. Consider staying in a hostel or guest house, or renting an apartment or condo.
9. Eat at local restaurants.
Winnipeg has a thriving food scene, but it can be expensive to eat at some of the more popular restaurants. To save money, try eating at local restaurants or cooking your own meals.
10. Take advantage of free activities.
There are a number of free activities available in Winnipeg, such as visiting the Winnipeg Art Gallery, the Manitoba Museum, and the Forks National Historic Site.
By following these tips, you'll be able to save money on your next trip to Winnipeg.
