That’s my hometown. Really depends on how deep your pockets are. I agree Lombard Street is pretty central.… Sanfrancisco union Square can be iffy as it is bordering tenderloin think East Hastings. Feel free to message me if you’re unsure of area.

Hostels may be an option too if your group is big you may be able to reserve a whole room of beds.

Depends on where you want to go. I’m in lower nob and it’s easy to get around to most touristy spots.

Best Places to Stay in San Francisco

If you're planning a group trip to San Francisco in September or October, you have plenty of options when it comes to accommodations. Here are some recommendations for both hotels and Airbnb rentals:

Hotels

  • The Fairmont San Francisco: Located atop Nob Hill, this historic hotel offers stunning views of the city and luxurious amenities.
  • Hotel Nikko San Francisco: Situated in the heart of Union Square, this hotel is known for its modern design and excellent service.
  • Hotel Zelos: A boutique hotel in the SoMa district, Hotel Zelos offers stylish rooms and a rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city.

Airbnb Rentals

If you prefer a more home-like experience, consider renting an Airbnb in San Francisco. Here are some popular neighborhoods to look for rentals:

  • Mission District: Known for its vibrant arts scene and diverse dining options, the Mission District is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the city's culture.
  • Haight-Ashbury: This iconic neighborhood is perfect for those interested in the city's hippie history and eclectic shops.
  • North Beach: If you're a foodie, North Beach is the place to be with its abundance of Italian restaurants and cafes.
