Just returned from Panama (mainly Boca Del Toros) and it is the most wonderful place! But I agree, anywhere in Central America is great! Love it there.

Exploring the Hidden Gems of the Caribbean
Are you feeling adventurous and looking to escape the well-trodden tourist trails of the Caribbean? If you're seeking a more authentic and off-the-beaten-path experience, you've come to the right place. Beyond the popular destinations like the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba, and Jamaica, the Caribbean is a treasure trove of lesser-known islands and coastal destinations that offer a unique blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and laid-back island vibes.
Panama: A Tropical Paradise with a Twist
You mentioned that you've heard Panama is beautiful, and you're absolutely right! This Central American gem, nestled between Costa Rica and Colombia, boasts an incredible diversity of landscapes and experiences. From the bustling metropolitan city of Panama City to the pristine beaches of the Pearl Islands, Panama truly has something for everyone.
One of the standout attractions in Panama is the San Blas Islands, an archipelago of over 365 islands belonging to the Guna Yala indigenous community. These idyllic islands offer a glimpse into the traditional way of life, with thatched-roof huts dotting the palm-fringed beaches and crystal-clear waters teeming with vibrant marine life. It's a true tropical paradise that remains relatively undiscovered by mass tourism.
Curacao: A Colorful Dutch Caribbean Delight
If you're looking for a Caribbean destination with a unique twist, consider the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao. This vibrant island is renowned for its pastel-colored colonial architecture, charming city of Willemstad (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and stunning beaches. Curacao offers a fascinating blend of Dutch, African, and Caribbean influences, making it a cultural melting pot like no other.
Explore the vibrant street art, indulge in the mouthwatering fusion cuisine, and dive into the crystal-clear waters teeming with diverse marine life. Curacao's laid-back vibe and welcoming locals make it a true hidden gem in the Caribbean.
Grenada: The Spice Isle with a Tropical Twist
Nestled in the eastern Caribbean, the island of Grenada is often referred to as the "Spice Isle" due to its rich history of producing nutmeg, cinnamon, and other aromatic spices. This lush, verdant island offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, rich culture, and colonial charm.
Hike through the rainforests, explore the picturesque capital of St. George's, or simply bask on the secluded white-sand beaches. Grenada is also a diver's paradise, with vibrant coral reefs and underwater sculpture parks waiting to be explored.
These are just a few examples of the hidden gems that the Caribbean has to offer. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural immersion, venturing off the beaten path will surely reward you with unforgettable experiences and lasting memories.

I am looking for somewhere to go in the Caribbean that isn't one of the big places like Dominican, Mexico, Cuba, Jamaica.. etc. Can anyone recommend another spot that is nice to visit? I've been told Panama is beautiful. Just curious on what other's think about different places.
