Joanne How many days?
Joanne
Gabor 30-September 8 to October 8-I used to live in Australia-my purpose was to receive my Bachelors degree & visit friends & at that time I had a brother who lived in the UK who was ill so I elected to return home that way. I stopped 3 days in Singapore & 3 days in Dubai (I flew in Emirates from Singapore to London) then visited 10 days with family all over the UK then flew home
Ken
90 days only.. how many cities will you stay?
Mike
90 days is not enough. I took a year to go around and felt rushed.
Laurie
Mike agree completely
Sue
Thailand Singapore Istanbul Portugal
Laura
We went around the world. We started in Japan.

Going west against earth rotation is easier for jet lag. Westbound a traveller has to stay up later rather than force yourself to sleep earlier.
The airline Aliances - Star Alliance or one world used to have promotions so it was very affordable. Star alliance had a lot more member airline participating
Ted
Donald this. Jet lag.
Lara
Capetown and Abu Dabi

Perth is fantastic! A more rugged, city version of what we think Australia to be. Eastern Australia has the landscapes and reefs but Perth as a city is much better
Ben
Kelsey you can’t get in our out of AUS so good luck with that
Whitney
Have done them all… I recommend more time in Japan then you think you need.
Kyoto and Osaka are to not be missed. You could easily take 2 weeks to a month.
Dubai can be enjoyed over a long weekend, although the Middle East itself is great. Have you considered Saudi Arabia?
I would suggest hitting west coast of Australia over Perth unless you have personal reasons. Newcastle is a cosy amazing little town and Byron Bay is magic for all ages. You can cover them driving Sydney to Brisbane.
I second the person who said Cape Town. As Canadians we have high standards for beautiful lands and South Africa for me was unbeatable. It’s truly gorgeous country.
I would try:
Vancouver Tokyo dubai capetown [europe choices] South America home
The reason is airlines like emirates have set routes and these are major hubs for the airline (minus Van)
If you stick to one airline or one alliance for the big flights (and regional cost friendly airlines between) you will accumulate a lot of points for free future flights or upgrades.
The only caveat is Emirates isn’t in Vancouver but you can leave via Seattle.
Whether you fly economy or business or first- this is one of the best airlines in the world and most comfortable economy flight.
Also going from Europe to South America is quite cost effective via Portugal or Spain
Jessica
I agree a few days/long layover in Dubai will be sufficient. We did this on our layover between Cape Town and Portugal. And 100% add Cape Town to the itinerary- it has all of the glorious scenery in easy driving distance. Love love love!
Jessica
Definitely add a SE Asia stop! And Cape Town!

All of Japan is lovely. Wonderful, friendly people.
Sydney Au is beautiful, and they have made their harbour area more people friendly and less industrial than Vancouver. (Sorry, Vancouver, lol).
Skip Fiji and go for Moorea rather than Papeete.
Sylvia
Japan for sure. The best country in the world I have ever visited. Wonderful people, lots to see and do, cleanliness like no where else. Don’t just limit yourself to Tokyo as Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and many other great spots are wonderful. If you go to Fiji do a Yasawa cruise which we loved. Don’t miss out on going to Perth, Western Australia. It’s a beautiful city with stunning beaches. Try and travel south down the west coast to South Western Australia. Rio has very high crime rate so I wouldn’t suggest going there. Have fun!
Sadie
I would spend time in Tokyo, Dubai, Bora Bora, Vietman, Thailand, Montreal, Scotland, Merida MX, Portugal, and Switzerland. All places on my bucket list. Safe travels. I hope you post photos from your adventure.
San
I would recommend Beijing, Xian, Lijiang, New Delhi, Jaipur, Goa, Amman, Cairo, Istanbul, Nairobi, Casablanca, Lima, Rio, Buenos Aires, Cartagena, Samarkand, Yerevan, Baku, Tbilisi, Beirut, Cape Town
