When me and my daughter flew to NY at that time of year, we found the cheapest airfares flying out of Seattle. Did hours of research for hotels and found The Hampton Inn on 8th Ave to be the best for us. It's a stone's throw from Macy's - subway stop almost right outside of hotel- free breakfast - one block from Empire State Bldg and a short walk to Times Square. Good luck.

Cheapoair.ca is great... I did the comparison flying from Seattle or flying from Vancouver. with Seattle you have to pay baggage fees each way vancouver you don't Seattle you have to pay for gas and parking along with a hotel because most of the flights out are early in the morning. Considering there's a bunch if u though Seattle may still be ur best. Even check into flying from Bellingham.

Seattle also has many hotels in which if you stay one night ( we pd $44.) you get free parking for your vehicle for the duration of your trip. Complete with security.

Can't remember the name but there are quite a few in the airport area with free pick up and drop off shuttles as well. Not top-of-the-line by any means but it's just a short stay .... and cheap. Maybe America's Best or something.

http://www2.jetblue.com/deals/the-boss-day-sale/ Sale is only on today but it's got $140 tickets from Seattle to New York including taxes! (The dates to fly are pretty restricted though so it depends on your availability). Good luck!

Finding Cheap Flights and Hotels in NYC

New York City is a popular tourist destination, but it can also be an expensive one. However, there are ways to save money on your trip, especially if you're willing to travel during the off-season or on weekdays. Here are a few tips:

Flights

  • Use a flight search engine. There are a number of websites that allow you to compare prices from different airlines. Some popular options include Google Flights, Kayak, and Skyscanner.
  • Be flexible with your travel dates and times. If you're able to travel on weekdays or during the off-season, you're likely to find cheaper flights. You can also save money by flying into a smaller airport, such as LaGuardia or Newark, instead of JFK.
  • Sign up for airline email alerts. Many airlines offer email alerts that will notify you of sales and discounts.

Hotels

  • Use a hotel search engine. There are a number of websites that allow you to compare prices from different hotels. Some popular options include Booking.com, Expedia, and Hotels.com.
  • Be flexible with your location. If you're willing to stay in a less popular neighborhood, you're likely to find cheaper hotels. You can also save money by staying in a hostel or Airbnb.
  • Sign up for hotel loyalty programs. Many hotels offer loyalty programs that give you discounts on future stays. You can also earn points that can be redeemed for free nights.

Other tips

  • Purchase a CityPASS. A CityPASS gives you access to a number of popular tourist attractions in NYC, such as the Empire State Building, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You can save up to 40% on admission prices by purchasing a CityPASS.
  • Take advantage of free activities. There are a number of free activities available in NYC, such as visiting Central Park, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, and visiting the Staten Island Ferry. You can also find free concerts and events throughout the city.

Conclusion

With a little planning, you can find cheap flights and hotels in NYC. By following these tips, you can save money on your trip and still have a great time.
