Hi everyone! Heading to Bermuda next week and looking for recommendations on places to eat, things to do, etc..

If you like underground caves, I would definitely recommend the Crystal Caves in Hamilton Parish.

Definitely visit the Bermuda Triangle. That's a must.

Go to The Pickled Onion in Hamilton for dinner and dancing if Grafitti Park are Playing. Visit St George’s and Tobacco Bay for some snorkeling.

Rent a scooter and cruise the whole island. Check out all the beaches on south road. Highly recommend renting from Elbow Beach Cycles (friendly family). Visit Crystal Caves & Fantasy Caves, the Aquarium, Flatt’s Village, Gibbs Hill lighthouse, St. George’s: Fort St. Catherine, Tobacco Bay, Royal Naval Dockyard, Horseshoe Bay, Eat a fish sandwich at Art Mel’s Spicy Dicy, grab a pint at The Hog Penny in Hamilton, La Trattoria was good, The Lobster Pot and stop by the original Swizzle Inn near Crystal Caves.

Driving scooters in Bermuda is notoriously dangerous – lots of sharp turns at high speeds with no way to see whats lurking around corners. NOT recommended.

I completely disagree. I’ve rented scooters in Bermuda several times over the past 15 yrs and again this past summer for a week. I found it to be safe and the drivers were very courteous to tourists. It’s the best way to see the island. As long as you have some experience and you take your time, you’ll be fine. They also make you perform a short road test before letting you rent them.

Joseph I agree with you. I have rented Scooters in Bermuda and if you follow the speed limit you will be just fine. I am in my 60's and rented one this past May.

I worked on ships and spent three summers in Bermuda, definitely not recommended. Every week someone had a broken leg, roadburn, driving is too dangerous to begin with but visitors don't take it seriously.

Buy yourself a bus pass that includes also ferries the easiest and safest way to go around the island . Warwick beach is my favorite, stunning and not as busy as Horseshoe or Elbow !

Art mel's for a fish sandwich, helmet diving is fun but the water is going to be a smidge cold this time of year

You can walk from one end of the island to the other end in an hour. I don't understand why you need recommendations. You can literally see the whole island in an afternoon

People aren't looking to explore anymore, the new generation of travellers intend to only go to "the best of the best" that people have reviewed. The island of Bermuda is so small that you could see the whole island in one day. It has two small grocery stores and very few restaurants. Get to the island and go walk around...pretty easy to explore

The island is really small. I don't see the need for recommendations when you literally have 12 restaurants. Also, the island is dry on Sundays...

Rock Island coffee is a locally beloved coffee shop and something of a community hub. There is an old railway path that goes down the centre of the island that is good for a hike or mountain biking. The Crystal Caves were great. The best thing about Bermuda is the pink sand beaches with gorgeous rock formations. The beaches were truly stunning. Also you definitely can't walk from one side to the other in an hour!

I love Bermuda. If you are planning renting a scooter please go to Oleander. Don't let the local drivers bother you. Just go at your own pace. Dockyard is beautiful which is home to the Glass Factory and the Bermuda Rum Cake. All beaches are beautiful but may not be warm enough to swim. Hog Penny pub in Hamilton has the best steak and kidney pie. St. George is beautiful with lovely shops, St. Peter's church offers tours and the unfinished church is also in St. George's. Heydon Chapel in Sandy's Parish is lovely to visit. Built in the 1600's. I am not religious, but they are all wonderful. Need groceries and drinks, Lindo's Family foods will have anything that you will need. Excellent selection of wines, etc. Hope I have not posted too late. Have a wonderful time.

Out of everywhere I've been, Bermuda is in my top favourite places. St. George's and the area around is beautiful. There's a walk along the coast that loops back to the town. I used to do it once a week.
