Hope to go to Europe next year with our two year old and want to make it as easy as possible

Where are you planning to go? I am thinking to take my kids next year to Europe to. I will be heading to Germany.
Mieke
Amy We went to Greece and Italy this year but had to fly out of Toronto... Which made it too much work with a toddler.
Next year we would like to Visit my husbands family in Hungary but would like to fly somewhere direct first and stay for a few nights then go to Hungary.

A flight to Germany (9-10 hours) can be quite long ... Even for a grown up
maybe break it up?? Or fly to somewhere in Europe and then take the train to travel around in Europe?! For a Canadian any place in Europe is a stone throw apart
Norma
Generally little people sleep better on flights than adults. Get a redeye flight to a European hub, dress the child in PJs, hope that they dim then lights straight away, and the kid will likely pass out. We have an inflatable flytot footrest pillow - Google it.
Mieke
Redeye is a good idea!
I will look into those.
