Clear your history and cache on your browser. Or better yet, use another computer or phone to book your tickets. This happened to me when booking for Europe. Got tickets on what was priced in March this past Tuesday.
Kyla
Interesting thanks Steve!
Heather
Avoid using a Mac too... Just read that tip. Apparently they think Mac users are willing to pay more
Don
What Steve says. It works.
Anne
Yes try again. Not on an apple product.

If you are using Google Chrome you can also go into incognito mode (open incognito window). Pages that you view in incognito tabs won’t stick around in your browser’s history, cookie store or search history after you’ve closed all of your incognito tabs. Airfare Woes: Will Prices Drop, or Are We Out of Luck?
It's a common travel dilemma: you spot a great flight deal, but then life gets in the way and you have to postpone your plans. When you finally go to book, you're shocked to see that the prices have skyrocketed.
This happened to me recently when I was planning a trip to Paris. Two weeks ago, I was seeing flights from Vancouver for August 16-August 25 or 26 for around $800 each. Today, the same flights are starting at $1500 each!
I'm heartbroken. I've been dreaming of this trip for months, and I've been saving up for it. But now it looks like I'm going to have to cancel my plans.
I'm not the only one who's been affected by this recent surge in airfare prices. In fact, it seems like everyone is complaining about how expensive flights have become.
So, what's going on? Why are airfare prices so high right now?
There are a few factors that are contributing to the high prices, including:
- Increased demand for travel as the COVID-19 pandemic subsides
- Reduced airline capacity due to staffing shortages and other issues
- Rising fuel prices
So, what can we do about it? Is there any chance that airfare prices will go back down?
Unfortunately, it's hard to say. The airlines are in control of pricing, and they're not likely to lower prices unless they have to.
However, there are a few things you can do to try to get a better deal on airfare:
- Be flexible with your travel dates and destinations. If you can travel during off-peak times or to less popular destinations, you're more likely to find cheaper flights.
- Sign up for email alerts from airlines and travel websites. This way, you'll be notified of any sales or discounts that are offered.
- Use a travel agent. A travel agent can help you find the best deals on flights and other travel arrangements.
If you're still having trouble finding affordable flights, you may have to consider other options, such as taking a train or bus, or driving to your destination.
I know it's frustrating to see airfare prices so high, but I hope these tips help you find a way to make your travel plans a reality.

Argh, I want to cry! Two weeks ago we were checking out flights to Paris from Vancouver for August 16-August 25 or 26, and there were flights for about $800 each. Today they're starting at $1500 each! Any chance they'll go back down or are we totally hooped? Sadly we need to go THOSE days because it's when we'll have a sitter for the kids.
