The Peppermill restaurant
Good prices, big portions, lots of fun and kinda stuck in a 70’s time warp. Servers were all wearing old prom dresses!
Sheri
awesome thank you!!
Ross
Yes Peppermill brings back memories
Cheryl
Love Peppermill
Carolyn
And when we say 'big portions' - this means order only 1 item per 2 people... you will not go hungry!!
Yvonne
Can’t recommend those but book your your idnow pcr test at Walgreens using an American address and you won’t have to pay and get the results back in a few hours - mine was an hour
Sheri
what is idnow pcr?
Yvonne
Sheri Herman rapid pcr test. You need a pcr to get back into Canada. CVS offers a pcr test but much slower results than the idnow test at Walgreens. Heads up this is not offered in all states, but we had our does at a drive thru in Vegas on our drive back to Calgary. As far as I know still not available in CA.
Duane
Yvonne is this for Covid test before u fly
Yvonne
Duane yes
Yvonne
It’s the pcr test you need to get back into Canada

Battista’s hole in the wall! Just off the strip by Linc, so good and old school vibes. You get unlimited wine, bread and soup with a main course purchase
Sheri
Matthew thanks for that
Vella
Matthew Whenever we are in Vegas we have to go to Batista’s. I wonder if the old man that sings to you at your table is still around?

If you have a car and are willing to venture away from the strip, El Torito Cafe in Henderson is fantastic Mexican food. Not fancy but really good!
Sheri
Shelley Love mexican food, thank you
Jileen
Tape face
Sheri
Jileen Awesome thank you
Dawn
Absinthe is a must for a show. Just saw it there 2 weeks ago and it was amazing. You need to have a crude sense of humour though. But the talent was just incredible.
Jennie
Dawn fantastic!!
Norma
Michael Grimm (winner of America’s Got Talent about 10 years ago) at the Smith Center - it’s a wonderful venue to hear him sing.
Andrea
Check out the Instagram page @lasvegasfood There’s also the Vegas Arts District that puts on a lot of events and is a cool area away from the strip to walk around.
I also recommend getting a bus pass. You end up waiting for the bus a bit but it allows you to hop on and off when and wherever you want. It paid for itself very quickly.
Sheri
Andrea thank you for that
Beverly
Google?
Tracey
The Neon Boneyard is my fav!!!
Door
Through Group On we did an evening helicopter ride over the strip. That was a great experience
Glenn
Ellis Island, just east of the strip, has a great breakfast at an even better price. Go early as it gets busy.
Jennifer
Use groupon! We saved so much money when we went for eating and events

- Ticket Resellers: Check sites like StubHub, Vivid Seats, or SeatGeek for discounted tickets from resellers.
- Ticket Brokers: Local ticket brokers may offer better deals, especially for last-minute or weekday games.
- Golden Knights Ticket Exchange: The team's official resale platform allows fans to buy and sell verified tickets.

We are going to Vegas in March and I am wondering if anyone could recommend things to see and visit plus quaint restaurants to eat at that don't cost an arm and leg. We are trying to be cost effective. Also, does anyone know of a cheaper way to get hockey tickets to the Vegas Knights besides buying from them directly on their website, they are so expensive! TIA
