Ellen
Definitely go to capilano suspense bridge and Granville island. Go to Stanley park. Take a ferry to Victoria for a day trip or one night. English Bay/downtown. Go to whistler mountain /Resort if you want.
Doug
One of my favorite things to do is watch the sunset from the deck of the Pan Pacific hotel. Grab a drink at the bar, go outside and enjoy.
Doug
Rent a bike at the lower end of Denman St. Ride around the Stanley Park seawall. If traveling with a non-rider, they have tandem bikes too.
Cristina
Avoid Downtown Eastside. Drugs.
Marilyn
If you are in Victoria you have to eat at Pagliacci’s
Mieke
The Eatery on W Broadway is one of my favourite restaurants. Is is sushi but pretty creative. Definitely worth a visit!
Beena
Lily valley
Geleena
The Keefer Bar

Do a Vancouver foodie tour!! I really enjoyed the Granville Island Market tour but they also have a food truck tour, fine dining, etc as well.
Sushi is amazing there, you can’t go wrong anywhere.
Most hotels have umbrellas in the closets, so you don’t need to bring your own.
Tanika
Thanks
Joan
Easy to take city transit to ferry at Tawassan to cross over to Vancouver Island. City bus stop is at ferry terminal. Get the $5 day pass That bus takes you right downtown where you can see the inner harbour, BC paliament buildings, and more. Walk up government street if you want some shopping. Easy walk to Beacon Hill park and the views of Juan de Fuca Straits.
Tanika
Thanks for the great suggestions.
Victoria
You need to go to the Devils Elbow for drinks and food, hands down the best! Quality and price
biased cuz my cousin is one of the bar-managers haha

If you go to Victoria I have to recommend walking down Fan Tan Alley in Chinatown, eating at Olo, walking along the inner harbour and maybe checking out the Royal BC Museum if you've got time.
Beena
Lily valley is an area in N Van what ch has a suspension bridge. Free

Rangoli. Vijs less expensive resto on 11th and Granville.
Allison
Islands are far. Whistler is spectacular. 1 1/2 he drive. And such a great drive. Sea to sky highway.
Jamee
There are a whole lot of islands! Do you know which you want to visit? Vancouver Island is where Victoria is, as well as Tofino (which is amazing). But to do both, you'd need more than a day. Even just to go to Victoria due the day is a long journey (unless you fly - which I would highly recommend - harbour to harbour, beautiful views in the sky).
Tanika
Hey do you know approximately how much flying to Victoria be?? I’m not looking for too expensive options.
Jamee
It's not cheap...there are a few sea plane companies that do it, and a helijet. I think the cheapest, if you get it on sale, is about 120 return. But usually it's about that per flight.
You could fly one way and take th ferry the other way. The ferry is a lovely trip too, but just a lot more time.
Tanika
Jamee got it thanks a lot.
Nathan
Go over to Vancouver Island. Def worth it. Up to Tofino too if you have time

Dae Ji is a great place for korean style cutlets, gas town is amazing and the entire walk up to stanley park is great as well. UBC campus also has fun things including hikes and the campus is artsy and nice to see in general.
Tracey
Rent bikes and ride around the seawall in Stanley Park, Capilano suspension bridge is awesome, Granville Market is a whole morning or afternoon shopping and drinking pints, sea to sky highway is spectacular. Take it to Squamish (45 mins) and do the sea to sky gondola and walk around the summit. You won't have time to get out to Tofino this time around...whistler is doable.
Vicky
If you have a car drive the sea to sky highway. It is beautiful
Anna
Oh yes!! This is a beautiful drive. You could also pay for a transfer to Whistler. Try Pacific Coach or Whistler Connection
Wendy
or Epic rides $38 rtn
Wendy
It is still fairly cool in Vancouver at the end of March so Whistler will have snow still ( maybe not in the village )-you can still ski. Tofino as well will be cold and is really not a 1 day or even 2 day trip. Vancouver has lots to keep you busy and Whistler would def be the better day trip
Rem
Was just there tons of snow and will be in March!
Wendy
I live in Vancouver and end of March can be anything, weatherwise! But this year in particular the mountains have had lots of snow!
Sharon
Lots of great sushi restaurants. Do indulge.
Rem
Vancouver has a great happy hour and everyone has one. chewies http://www.chewies.ca/ is my go to. Also the islands are amazing!!! Since your there for a short time consider going to Bowen Island. It’s just a 20 min ferry from horseshoe bay and a perfect overnight getaway. https://www.hellobc.com/bowen-island.aspx
Isabella
Capilano suspension bridge sucks. Expensive and underwhelming at most.
If you like hiking I suggest lake Joffree and Squamish Chief . Views are beautiful and hike is pretty fun. Also go to English bay and walk/drive around the sea wall.
Food - try fable restaurant in kitsilano, earnest for ice cream, metrotown foodcourt for juicy asian pan fried buns.
What r u into?
Tanika
Thanks a lot everyone for such amazing recommendations. Would try to cover as much as possible.
Claudia
Following! Doing the same but early April

I’m bicoastal spending 1/3 of the month in Vancouver. Vancouver has great Asian food. VJ’s restaurant in South Granville is really good. Kirin’s lobster fried noodles is to die for. Hon’s is an institution that’s been around for over 30 years. Mr.Red Cafe in West Broadway is cheap and some of the best Vietnamese food in North America. Sushi is cheap and incredibly fresh. Chambar is a Belgian place that makes a great brunch. I love the coffee culture in Vancouver. In the fairmont Pacific Rim there is Giovanni. Great coffee, awesome gift shop and yummy sandwiches and baked goods. Also love the hot chocolate and lattes at the Hotel Georgia in the coffee shop in the corner of their ground floor. If you get a chance, walk through the lobby to enjoy the art there.
Must see for me is Granville Island, Stanley Park and the sea wall, Kitsilano and Point Grey and the Spanish Banks (many vancouverites say this is their fav beach). Eat in Gastown - the gentrification has made the area very beautiful to walk through; Capilano suspension bridge is awesome if you’re not afraid of heights (entrance fee is not cheap); top of Grouse is also wonderful but the cost of the gondola is not cheap. If you have a car, spend half a day in West Vancouver to see Vancouver from the other side of the inlet
and head up to the Cypress look out. Great to go on a foggy day because you may end up above the fog in sunshine. Also an awesome hike to the top.
Also the Murokami exhibit is going on right now. I suggest buying tickets online before hand because it’s been huge line ups.
Enjoy and pack for all seasons.
