Looking to book some travel preferably somewhere warm that has great scuba diving for 2-3 in December/January. Any suggestions on where to go and when to leave? Thank you!

can't beat the Great Barrier Reef. Also there's another gorgeous reef off the west coast of Oz near Broome.

We actually have a place in Belize, so a bit bias. No less than great! FYI Google VRBO300805 That is our particular unit but if it isn't available, there are others there as well.

Very beautiful place, but $300/night in Belize?

There is lots to choose from there if AC and cooking isn't important. Eating out there is pretty cheap. So is a hut on beach

Great on the islands if Belize as there is an east barrier reef. You can see the reef from shore, so it's cheap for a dive, snorkel it day trip. Last year in Caye way too many bldgs going up. Losing that awsome ambiance, on a sand based island by pedal power, walking and golf carts. I'll never return.
How about 35$ dives on the Island of Roatan in Honduras.
English is 1 st language, friendly people is now my favourite place and far away from the crime in main country.

I think, though, December and January is off-season for Koh Tao. Visibility is not very good. You can Google the dive seasons for the various areas around Thailand.

Liveaboard out of Khao Lak, Thailand, to the Similan Islands. There's nothing like sleeping, eating, and diving, repeated 3-4 times per day!

Take a cruise and hit all three fantastic dive sites: Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. 7-night Western Caribbean cruise on Royal Caribbean International's Rhapsody of the Seas, 12/17/2016 http://www.metrotown.cruiseshipcenters.com/.../CruiseGo...

Princess Cruises has a 6-night Western Caribbean cruise on the Caribbean Princess, 12/17/2016 out of Fort Lauderdale, port of calls include: Roatan, Belize and Costa Maya. http://www.metrotown.cruiseshipcenters.com/.../CruiseGo...

Maureen It's one of most cost effective ways to try out different dive sites. My husband is a scuba diving instructor and we spent a week diving in Cozumel in February. We're going to take the cruise and hit all three dive spots next year.

How much time do you have in each destination?

I've never been on a cruise before

You have a full day there so definitely can do a two tank dive with the cruiseship or you can contact a PADI dive shop to arrange your dive trip. Here's an example http://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/.../carotwotankmayan.htm

You should definitely give cruising a try if you've never done it before. One of things I love about cruising is that you don't need to unpack and pack, checkin/checkout at each city. You meals, entertainment, and accommodation are all taken care of - what a treat!

Thank you so much! I'll look into it and let you know if we wanna book! Thanks again!

If you decide to include Cozumel on your itinerary, I highly recommend “The Cozumel Wreck” dive, or the official name is the Felipe Xicoténcatl or C-53. http://www.shoreexcursionsgroup.com/.../cacz2tanksandd.htm
