I was there in January. What sort of info are you looking for?

I am going to Dewai to work maybe. Cdn gov days it is dangerous...now....I ave been there about 8years ago. booking .com says it is great and safe. What was your impression ofunrest?
Melissa
I found it incredibly safe. I would travel there as a solo female traveler in a heartbeat. The Myanmar people were welcoming and lovely. The unrest in certain parts is due to internal conflict with the gov't. If there is civil unrest in an area it will still be closed off from tourists.(In the north and the west there are still plenty of places that are just now opening up). It is an amazing country and full of hope right now.

If you're looking for travel advisories, stick to the government sites.
Melissa
the Canadian gov't also says the same thing for Mexico, Thailand, Bahamas, Costa Rica, etc.....
Marilyn
The government sites are 'very conservative'. But be careful wherever you go.

Bryan Sai maybe you can provide some feedback here?

Recent Travel to Myanmar
It seems like there are conflicting reports about travel to Myanmar at the moment. The government website may have different information compared to popular booking platforms like Booking.com.
Government Website
According to the government website, the current travel restrictions and advisories for Myanmar are as follows:
- Visitors must have a valid visa to enter Myanmar
- Some regions may have travel advisories due to political unrest
- Check for any updates or changes before planning your trip
Booking.com
On the other hand, Booking.com may have different information based on recent bookings and reviews from travelers. It's important to note that individual experiences may vary, so it's always a good idea to do your own research before making any travel plans.
Conclusion
It's always best to check multiple sources when it comes to travel information, especially during uncertain times. Whether you're planning a trip to Myanmar or any other destination, make sure to stay informed and prioritize your safety.
