Hi everyone,
I will be staying in Nagoya, Japan for 3 full days in mid-April and am wondering if you guys have any particular recommendations in terms of local sitesl(aside from obvious Nagoya Castle, TV Tower area), dining experiences (especially for the dish hitsumabushi, but not just limited to), or daytrip ideas (and how to go about it; Takayama and Shirakawa-ko seem interesting)?
Thank you very much!

I've been to takayama and if was so pretty and cute. You dont need more than a day there. The hida beef is on point I would definitely try it in buns!!

Agree with what Sabrina said. The Hida-gyu beef was the best I've ever eaten, better even than Kobe. You can visit the lovely old Edo villages of Tsumago and Magome from Takayama (possibly from Nagoya as well).

  • Tebasaki: Nagoya-style chicken wings, known as "tebasaki," are a must-try snack. Meikun is a popular izakaya (Japanese pub) that serves some of the best tebasaki in town.
