There are many excellent places to eat in Bucerias! Encore, Sandrina's, Mark's (pricey). Excellent places also right on the beach: Dugarel Plays, The Breakers, Mar y Sol. Check out the Bucerias Facebook page, too!
Larissa
Pacific paddle for fantastic SUP excursions out to marietas island (hidden beach) and Los arcos. Yoyo mos for pizza...Churros off the lady's cart in the main square. Shrimp quesadillas at breakers.

Take the bus into Puerto Vallarta (it's just a regular transit fare) and stroll down the Malecon - take a picture beside every sculpture! They also have a great zoo in PV ... very wild and thrilling. It's near the zip line so do that too. I'm jealous!
Annelie
Karen's place has great food and beautiful location.
Annelie
Sandrina is also amazing food and a lovely location.

On a cheaper side for great food, try Mr and Mrs Fish, excellent food, just across the street from the restaurants on the beach, which imo are overpriced. Another spot is La Takeria, you can have a great taco dinner for less than $5!!! It is a family run taco restaurant with tables out on the street, excellent!
Yana
Go to Sayulita. Burrito Revolution is awesome!
Jamie
Yes! definitely!
Erin
No suggestions but if the suitcase has any room take something for your taxi driver. Or anyone else there.

Agreed with Karen's Place. Chin-gon is fun. Tacos Lindas is cheap and amazing. Los Helechos is lovely. Same owners for ages. He is very sweet, does magic tricks for the kids. Lots of hummingbirds come to his feeder too.

Mark's .... excellent dining.

We just got married at Karen's Place Beachfront Restaurant in October. She's amazing. Her food is amazing. We made a point of eating there several times in our 2 weeks. Plus, you can set up closer to the water in front of the restaurant and the bar will run drinks to you. It's amazing! Enjoy your trip!!
Keith
Best Fajitas can be found at "Fumars" restaraunt across the highway. A must is Tacos de Marlin across from the Intrntl. Airport!! MMmmmmm !!

For excursions, I HIGHLY recommend a day in Sayulita. It's a wonderful surfing town with a very laid-back hippy vibe. We took the bus. Lots of fun. We also did a snorkel/SUP tour through Pacific Paddle to the Marietas, which was lots of fun.
Melissa
Go to Toscana Mia for some the BEST Italian food you'll ever have. Owner is straight from Italy and is a great guy
Annelie
Marieta island tour is really cool. We saw tins of whale. Did snorkeling. It was a lovely trip.
Robyn
Do a tour with
Human Connections! Hands on genuine cultural connection to local craftsmen, small restaurant owners, etc. It has outstanding ratings for a good reason (check them out on tripadvisor)
