Hi Denise, I'm going on Monday and staying at Breezes Varadero. I'll let you know when I get back. Are you looking for a nice hotel or just a safe place to stay as women? I've heard other than pickpockets it's very safe.
Francisc
what about B&Bs I heard it's possible to hire out the owners as a tour-guides as you travel the country.
Denise
That would be great Irene. Have a wonderful time!
Denise
Hmmm..never thought of that Francisc I will look into that. Thanks!

Travelling to Cuba Solo: Where to Stay
Travelling to Cuba by yourself can be an exciting and enriching experience. When it comes to choosing where to stay, there are a few options that cater to solo travelers:
1. Casa Particular
A popular choice for solo travelers in Cuba is to stay in a Casa Particular, which is a privately owned bed and breakfast. This option allows you to stay with a local family, providing a more authentic Cuban experience. Casa Particulars are usually affordable and offer a comfortable and safe environment for solo travelers.
2. Hostels
Another budget-friendly option for solo travelers is to stay in a hostel. Hostels in Cuba are a great way to meet other travelers and make new friends. They often offer shared dormitories or private rooms at a reasonable price. Some popular hostels in Cuba include Hostal Casa Caribe in Havana and Hostal Casa de Ania in Trinidad.
3. Boutique Hotels
If you prefer a more upscale accommodation, boutique hotels in Cuba are a great option. These hotels offer a more luxurious experience with personalized service. Some recommended boutique hotels for solo travelers include Hotel Saratoga in Havana and Iberostar Grand Packard in Varadero.
4. Airbnb
Airbnb is another popular option for solo travelers in Cuba. You can rent a private room or an entire apartment, giving you more flexibility and independence during your stay. Airbnb accommodations in Cuba range from cozy apartments in the heart of Old Havana to beachfront villas in Varadero.
Whichever option you choose, make sure to book your accommodation in advance, especially during peak travel seasons. Additionally, it's recommended to stay in well-known and safe neighborhoods, such as Vedado in Havana or Centro in Trinidad.
Enjoy your solo trip to Cuba and immerse yourself in the vibrant culture and beautiful landscapes of this Caribbean island!
