Are there any Yotels at Toronto Pearson Airport for a 5-hour stopover?

Question:

Does anyone know if there are any "Yotels" in Toronto Pearson Airport? We are flying from Vancouver and we have a 5-hour stop-over from 1:30 am to 6:30 am... not long enough to book a hotel, but would like to sleep a little. We have air canada passes, but, unfortunately the lounges are not open at that time.

Toronto airport is deserted at night. Not even Tim Hortons is open. Understand though, not really long enough to get to hotel though .

Yes. We came across this concept called Yotel and they are small closet like rooms that are rented by the hour.

The Alt hotel is right there and can be pretty inexpensive.

Looks like $180.

5 hour stopover is in reality only about 3 1/2 hrs once you deplane, transfer to your new gate and then assemble again for boarding the next flight - not really worth getting a room - probably just need to find a quiet corner somewhere to nap, take an alarm clock so you wake in time for your next flight

They don't have anything just normal seats and they are not comfy

When we spent 5-6 hr there, we were 4 out of maybe 10 people in whole airport.

I had a similar stop
Over there and I did get a room - had a nap and a shower and it was totally worth it ... we just grabbed something close

Your 5 hours will actually be much less by the time you have deplaned and then queued for the next flight. Middle of the night should be lots of space and seating in the Airport.

YYZ has an Area they refer to as "Q". It's upstairs on the Departures level. Have spent many nights there. Only problem is - they leave the music on in the terminal all night. Go figure! Look it up on the YYZ site map or ask when you arrive there. It's not perfect but you can lay down & hopefully catch a few winks

I think it has been known as Lounge 15 since about 2015

Is it still in the same place & does the music still play all night long?

haven't done a night time transit so don't know, it is not really a sleeping area, just a quieter sitting area, so probably

Yotels at Toronto Pearson Airport

Unfortunately, as of now, there are no Yotels located at Toronto Pearson Airport. Yotel is a chain of airport hotels that offer compact, high-tech rooms for short stays, perfect for situations like yours with a short layover.

However, there are other options available to you at Toronto Pearson Airport to catch some rest during your 5-hour stopover:

  • Rest Zones: Toronto Pearson Airport has designated rest zones where you can relax and catch some sleep. These zones are equipped with comfortable seating and charging stations.
  • Day-Use Hotels: There are several hotels near the airport that offer day-use rooms for short stays. You can book a room for a few hours to rest and freshen up before your next flight.
  • Lounges: While the Air Canada lounges may not be open during your layover, there are other lounges at the airport that may be accessible to you. Check with your airline or the airport staff for more information.

It's always a good idea to check with the airport authorities or your airline for the most up-to-date information on amenities and services available during your layover.

Safe travels!
