Cant help with Portland but in CannonBeach, blue gull inn, 139.00 , has kitchen, jacuzzi tub, fireplace, half block from beach, super easy walk into town. Exquisite food— EVO cooking school.

We are planning a visit as well but are wondering if anyone else has a suggestion re accommodations that aren’t as high price as most downtown hotels.

I have stayed in both mentioned above. I prefer the neighbourhood Park Lane is in but Jupiter is nicer.

We've stayed in Days Inn in Gresham. Just 25 minutes away from downtown. 15 minutes away from Columbia Gorge outlet. It's also near the falls. Hotel serves breakfast. Near fast foods and restaurants. Quiet area.
