Where in the world would you go if you had one week (plus weekends) to travel? Travel would be late September or October. North America and the Carribean excluded please. Just my husband and I traveling!

Hmmmm only a week is tricky. I love visiting Japan but I'd say that's definitely best saved as a 2-week trip. UK or Europe could be nice. Maybe Spain or Italy?

Tokyo for a week and 2 weekends can be a nice deep dive into the city. I did it that way.

It can definitely be done, but for the price of the flight, I prefer getting more 'bang for my buck' and staying longer! Even after 2 weeks I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of Japan. There's so much to see!!

Taipei!

Iceland. Pure paradise.

One week I’d recommend Norway, Nice/Monaco, southern Spain, core Europe or Maui.
2 weeks Asia or Africa
3 weeks plus Australia, New Zealand

Peru was incredible over ten days!

Spain is beautiful in October, so is Italy and France. And great for not having an overabundance of tourists at that time

Spain and Portugal would be amazing! We did 10 days in Spain but regretted we didn't include Portugal too

Beijing..we did it last year.September / October is nice not too hot.Lots of history there.

I would go to Greece, Croatia, Spain or Portugal if you only have a week.

Italy
did Rome/Venice in 7 days and it was a great paced trip. If you focus on 1-2 cities you can really get a feel for them in that time

I just did an Amalfi coast tour, left on Saturday and got back on Sunday. I of course would have stayed for longer but it was very doable, and just enough relaxing/exploring time.

September in Iceland is supposed to be really beautiful! I would probably go there or Central America (Honduras and Guatemala are both great for a 10-day trip)

I am from Croatia. And October weather can be really nice. Not to hot. Not sure which part of Croatia you want to go and visit? In land Zagreb? Or coast more south like Dubrovnik?

Eather way prices in October are way cheaper since it is out of season.

My son was there late September. I great time to go! He had amazing weather, warm (I think around 23) and no rain.

London, Paris, Malta, Portugal. Caution: if you are looking at beach locations many close up for winter in late September unless you stick to real touristy spots.

I would limit my trip to one city. 9 days to explore is so fun. Which one? Probably the next deal I would see!
