Depends on your interests. If you want the standard tourist experience, the top visitor locations are Stanley Park, Granville Island, Gastown, old Chinatown, and Grouse Mountain.
If you want to do outdoorsy stuff, Grouse Mountain, a day trip to Whistler/Blackcomb mountain, nature walk at the Pacific Spirit Regional Park.
If you're into the cultural experience, the museum of Anthropology at UBC, the art gallery (in downtown), Chinatown again. Perhaps the punjabi market in south Vancouver.
If you're into the food scene, check the numerous food bloggers in Vancouver (Sherman's Food Adventures, or Follow Me Foodie, for example).
I could provide more suggestions based on your interests.....

My Vancouver Travel Guide

I'm so excited to share my travel guide to Vancouver, British Columbia! I visited this beautiful city in June and had an amazing time. Vancouver is a vibrant, multicultural city with something to offer everyone. Whether you're interested in nature, culture, or food, you're sure to find something to love in Vancouver.

Where to Stay

There are many great places to stay in Vancouver, but here are a few of my favorites:

  • The Fairmont Pacific Rim: This luxury hotel is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver and offers stunning views of the city and the ocean.
  • The Opus Hotel: This boutique hotel is located in Yaletown and is known for its stylish design and friendly service.
  • The Beach House at Dundarave: This charming bed and breakfast is located in West Vancouver and offers beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains.

What to Do

There are endless things to do in Vancouver, but here are a few of my favorites:

  • Visit Stanley Park: This urban park is home to a variety of attractions, including the Vancouver Aquarium, the Brockton Point Lighthouse, and the Siwash Rock.
  • Take a ferry to Granville Island: This popular tourist destination is home to a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries.
  • Visit the Museum of Anthropology: This world-renowned museum houses a vast collection of artifacts from around the world.
  • Go for a hike in Grouse Mountain: This mountain offers stunning views of the city and the surrounding area.
  • Visit the Vancouver Public Library: This iconic building is home to a vast collection of books and other resources.

Where to Eat

Vancouver is a foodie paradise, so you're sure to find something to your taste. Here are a few of my favorite restaurants:

  • The Keg Steakhouse + Bar: This steakhouse is known for its delicious food and excellent service.
  • Glowbal Grill + Satay Bar: This restaurant is known for its innovative dishes and stylish atmosphere.
  • Tap & Barrel: This gastropub is known for its delicious food and wide selection of beers.
  • Cactus Club Cafe: This casual restaurant is known for its extensive menu and friendly service.
  • Earls Kitchen + Bar: This restaurant is known for its delicious food and lively atmosphere.

How to Get Around

Vancouver is a very walkable city, but you can also take advantage of the city's excellent public transportation system. The SkyTrain is a rapid transit system that connects the city center with the surrounding suburbs. The buses are also a great way to get around the city. If you're renting a car, be sure to familiarize yourself with the city's traffic laws and regulations.

Tips for Planning Your Trip

Here are a few tips for planning your trip to Vancouver:

  • Book your flights and accommodation in advance, especially if you're traveling during peak season.
  • Purchase a Vancouver CityPASS to save money on admission to popular attractions.
  • Take advantage of the city's free Wi-Fi hotspots.
  • Be sure to pack for all types of weather, as Vancouver's weather can be unpredictable.
  • Bring your walking shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of exploring on foot.
