We had a fantastic trip there, great seafood, but I canât give any concrete tips because I donât remember the details....however I can give music tips. Check out Phillip Boa an alternative German band, the lead spent a lot of time on Malta and still lives there.
Read about the history as well (if you havenât already)

You could stay right in Valletta - itâs not where the nightlife is and is quiet at night... but probably expensive. Otherwise, you could look into accommodation in the Three Cities. They are close to Valletta but have a quiet local feel. Malta is wonderful-enjoy!

Recommend taking the tourist buses, and choose where to go. Get off and for how long. Roads are incredibly skinny, I wouldnât rent a car personally.
Beautiful beaches, we stayed in Vallarta in hotel room with view, on the ocean front with breakie for very reasonable rates. LoVely fireworks

Planning Your Trip to Malta in June 2019
Thanks for reaching out! I'm happy to help you plan your trip to Malta in June 2019. Here are some things to consider when choosing where to rent accommodations:
- Avoid party central. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation, you'll want to avoid renting in areas like St. Julian's or Paceville, which are known for their lively nightlife.
- Consider your interests. If you're interested in history and culture, you may want to rent in Valletta or Mdina. If you're more interested in beaches and swimming, you may want to rent in Gozo or Comino.
- Think about your budget. Rents can vary depending on the location and time of year. Be sure to do your research and compare prices before booking.
Here are some of the areas I recommend for renting accommodations:
- Valletta is the capital of Malta and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a beautiful city with plenty of history and culture to explore.
- Mdina is a medieval walled city that's also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's a great place to wander around and soak up the atmosphere.
- Gozo is a smaller island that's known for its beautiful beaches and countryside. It's a great place to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of Malta.
- Comino is a tiny island that's home to the Blue Lagoon, one of the most beautiful swimming spots in the Mediterranean.
Here are some of the things I recommend doing in Malta:
- Visit the Megalithic Temples. Malta is home to some of the oldest temples in the world, including the Megalithic Temples of Ggantija and Hagar Qim.
- Explore Valletta. Valletta is a beautiful city with plenty of history and culture to explore. Be sure to visit the Upper Barrakka Gardens, the Grand Master's Palace, and the St. John's Co-Cathedral.
- Take a day trip to Gozo. Gozo is a smaller island that's known for its beautiful beaches and countryside. Be sure to visit the Azure Window, the Inland Sea, and the Ggantija Temples.
- Relax on the beach. Malta has some of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. Be sure to spend some time relaxing on the sand and soaking up the sun.
- Enjoy the nightlife. Malta has a lively nightlife scene, with plenty of bars and clubs to choose from. Be sure to check out the nightlife in St. Julian's and Paceville.
I hope this helps you plan your trip to Malta in June 2019. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
Your Malta Trip Planner
Jeanne
Looking at going to Malta June 2019. Will fly in/out Gatwick. Renting a car and accommodations through vrbo/airbnb. Not sure which part of island to rent in? Areas to avoid? Will drive around to different places, so no need to be near anything like airport, beach, etc. We are quiet, early to bed/early to rise type, so want to avoid party central. Anything a must do? What has awed you? Thanks in advance!
