First I'd say never mind budget until closer to your trip, but I would focus on spending more time in the areas you plan to visit. Only reason I say this is because it's a long flight, and you may never go back again.
Cindy
Wow! Sounds like a fantastic trip. Have fun
Geoff
A week is not enough time to see what there is to see in either BNE or SYD.

Take the very short ferry ride from Tahiti to to the island of Moorea. The most beautiful island on earth. We walked on and off the ferry and caught the bus to the Moorea Beach Lodge. Stayed in a bungalow near the beach. We rented a car and drove around Tahiti and were sooooo disappointed. Very urban. Very few sandy or swimable beaches and it did not feel safe. Even the rental cars have no hubcaps. All the windows had bars. Moorea, on the other hand was amazing and breathtaking.

Tom I totally agree with you! Tahiti isn't worth the time. Morrea is even more beautiful than Bora Bora

Angela It took our breath away!

Starting to plan for Australia and Tahiti in October/November 2025. I know I have LOTS of time - just looking for suggestions on where to stay in Tahiti and what to do so I can gather some kind of a budget. Preliminary idea is YVR to BNE for a week, BNE to SYD for a week and then head to PPT for 10ish days.
