Is it possible to stopover in Beijing on the way back from Hong Kong?

Question:

I'm wondering how to book a flight with a stopover. I just booked a cruise from Singapore to Hong Kong in June. Ideally we would like to stopover in Beijing for two or three days on our return from Hong Kong to Vancouver. Which airlines offer this and how do I search for it? Do I just search for a multi-city flight with three segments? Thanks in advance for advice.

Yep, that's exactly what you do! Just use the multi-city search option on any decent travel site. google flights is the fastest way to play around with dates.

You may also want to look into just booking the Vancouver - Singapore, Beijing - Vancouver flight...

...and then booking a separate one way flight from Hong Kong to Beijing. See how the price compares doing it this way.

I'd also suggest researching each leg independently. Sometimes, a multi-city flight plan ends up being more expensive then booking each leg separately. Keep in mind if you do find a better deal and get flights from separate sources, if anything goes wrong with one of the legs (ie, a late flight causes you to miss a connection), you may not have purchase protection because of how the flights were booked.
