The answer is yes, their will be people Hackling you to go to their hotels. But in my opinion, it's a lot less worst than it was 4-5 years ago. For the Island hopping, there are organized tour of different location. Depending what you want to do, you see what your hotel/resort can recommend!

I was in Ao Nang a few days ago. stay overnight on RAilay. It is amazing. 2 nights. We also love Khao Sok national park. We stay at Arts bungalows. Also amazing. 1 night is enough there.

Don't waste your time in Krabi town. Go to Ao Nang and stay in RAilay. Long tail boat from Ao Nang is about 15 minutes. And 100bht ($4). Much longer boat trip from Krabi town.

Island Hopping in Phuket: The Ultimate Itinerary

Introduction

Phuket is a tropical paradise that offers stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a vibrant nightlife. With its location in the Andaman Sea, it's the perfect destination for island hopping. In this blog post, we'll explore the best itinerary for a 2-week island hopping adventure in Phuket and provide tips for staying safe and avoiding hassles from touts.

The Itinerary

  • Day 1-3: Spend your first few days exploring the main island of Phuket. Visit the famous Patong Beach, Karon Beach, and Kata Beach. Stay in Patong or Karon for easy access to restaurants, nightlife, and shopping.
  • Day 4-5: Take a ferry or speedboat to Phi Phi Islands. Stay on Phi Phi Don for a night or two, and explore the stunning beaches, snorkeling spots, and viewpoints.
  • Day 6-7: Head to Koh Yao Noi, a quieter and less touristy island. Relax on the beaches, rent a motorbike to explore the island, and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere.
  • Day 8-10: Visit Koh Lanta, known for its beautiful long beaches, mangrove forests, and excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. Stay in one of the beachside resorts or bungalows.
  • Day 11-13: Spend the remaining days on Koh Yao Yai, a larger and more rugged island with fewer tourists. Explore the island's interior, visit the fishing villages, and enjoy the tranquility.
  • Day 14: Return to Phuket for your departure.

Dealing with Touts and Hassles

Like in many popular tourist destinations, you may encounter touts or people trying to sell you accommodation, tours, or services upon arrival at the ferry piers or beaches. Here are some tips to avoid hassles:

  • Book your accommodation in advance, especially for your first night on each island. This will prevent you from being pressured into staying at a tout's recommended place.
  • Be polite but firm when declining offers. A simple "No, thank you" or ignoring them and walking away works best.
  • Research and book reputable tour companies or guides beforehand to avoid being overcharged or scammed.
  • Consider hiring a private longtail boat or joining a group tour for island hopping to avoid having to negotiate with touts at
