The Pearl District has some great restaurants and shops. Not sure where you are staying but Hotel Emma is worth a trip to for a drink in the bar. The River walk is always nice, the mexican market and of course the Alamo. https://www.thehotelemma.com/
Cathy
Shayni thank you! We are staying close to the Pearl District so will definitely check out the Hotel Emma bar. Any Pearl District restaurants you would particularly recommend?
Shayni
We went to Cured and Supper. Supper by far was the best, but Cured was good too.
Shayni
We actually stayed at Hotel Emma - which was amazing - and ate at Supper twice, once for dinner (really nice) and for breakfast. If you go for breakfast try the beignets!
Suzanne
My husband just went and really enjoyed Fredericksburg
Cathy
Suzanne Hey Suzanne, we did our San Antonio trip and took a side trip to Fredericksburg. Your husband was right - it was a nice drive and the town was lovely. Thanks for the recommendation!

Austin
Louise
Karen agree! We went to San Antonio and Austin this year and found Austin to be far more interesting and dynamic. It’s not a slam against San Antonio which was perfectly fine, but the whole music, foodie and arts scene in Austin was amazing and we barely touched the surface during our six days there.
Louise
We loved Austin and would go there again.
Louise
Culinary Dropout in Austin was great also.
Jon
Tejas Rodeo!
Also fabulous & interesting Tex-Mex at Acenar Restaurant near riverwalk
Diana
We were there in July and you must go to the Alamo. Also, drive to Austin. Another beautiful city.
Mouvain
We enjoy visiting the missions. There are a few very close to each other.
