I love Zihuatanejo because it’s not just a collection of all inclusive resorts. It’s a real town, with lots of local charm, markets, families strolling around, cool restaurants and gorgeous beaches.

Cathy and ten minutes down the road is Ixtapa that is the complete opposite
Scott
Cathy Amd don't forget Playa La Ropa. My favorite beach.
Cathy
Scott that’s the one! But I can’t divulge all the best secrets or it will become overrun with tourists.
PatShell
Restaurants and you can actually see your feet in the ocean
Heather
Out of the way and quiet.
Heard they've expanded quite a bit.
Great staff and food
Cathy
Heather who has great staff and food?
Heather

Royal decameron bucerias

We have a house in La Paz so I’m partial to the pacific side of Mexico. Zihua is still Mexico versus Cancun unless you like all inclusives with the same food every day and no culture. Huatulco is beautiful too. I would never throw away 30 cents on the dollar to go anywhere American.
Inga
Riviera Maya, beautiful beach
Melanie
Inga and warmer water.
Roxy
Love the people, places and temperatures
Cathy
And no seaweed on the pacific side compared to Cancun area.

The only problem I can see with your poll is that unless you’ve been to each place listed you might only be voting for the one place you know. I

Isla Mujeres. Spent 10 days there in January.
Stay near north beach. You can walk anywhere. Great authentic restaurants and white sand beaches
We also love Cancun. White sand. Quiet when you want it and lots of fun when you prefer that. No long drive from an airport.

My Favorite Winter Getaway: Bucerias, Mexico
When it comes to planning a winter escape, few destinations can match the allure of Bucerias, Mexico. This charming coastal town, nestled along the stunning Pacific coastline of the Riviera Nayarit, offers a perfect blend of relaxation, culture, and natural beauty.
Why Bucerias Tops the List
Bucerias captured my heart with its laid-back atmosphere and authentic Mexican charm. Unlike some of the more touristy destinations, this town has managed to preserve its traditional roots while embracing visitors with open arms.
- Stunning Beaches: The golden sands of Bucerias stretch for miles, providing ample space to soak up the sun, indulge in water sports, or simply stroll along the shore as the waves gently lap at your feet.
- Culinary Delights: Bucerias is a foodie's paradise, offering a delectable array of local cuisines. From fresh seafood caught daily to mouthwatering tacos and enchiladas, every bite is a celebration of Mexican flavors.
- Vibrant Culture: The town's vibrant culture is evident in its charming streets, colorful markets, and lively plazas. Immerse yourself in the rhythm of local life, witness traditional dances, and shop for unique handicrafts.
- Outdoor Adventures: Beyond the beaches, Bucerias offers a wealth of outdoor activities, from hiking in the nearby Sierra Madre mountains to exploring the lush jungles and hidden waterfalls.
Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a family vacation, Bucerias offers something for everyone. Its warm hospitality, natural beauty, and authentic Mexican charm make it a truly unforgettable winter destination.
Plan Your Bucerias Adventure
So, if you're looking to escape the winter chill and immerse yourself in a slice of paradise, pack your bags and head to Bucerias. This enchanting town will captivate your senses and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
