Moon Palace in the Mayan soooo much to do we had 40 of us here ages 6 months to 80 and was perfect

The barcelo resorts in the Mayan Riviera have awsome activities for all ages. There is the palace that is pricey but you can use all 5 resorts, if staying at any one of the other you can also use the other resorts, just not the palace. Good variety!
Rochelle
Barcelo Bavaro Palace in Punta Cana. Large resort with endless things to do. Amazing place.
Krista
ClubMed in Ixtapa is the best!!
Natalie
Dont go anywhere in the Caribbean. I live in the Riveria Maya Mexico, there is a HUGE Seaweed problem, it's so bad

Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay. They have a really fun team of people that keep you engaged if that’s what you’re looking for.

Occidental Xcaret is amazing!!!!! We loved it. The only issue if the older travelers have mobility issues it is very spread out. We rented my mother in law a wheelchair while we were there for a week.
The wildlife at the resort is outstanding!
Shannon
Jen Evans I agree. This is a great resort for families. The beach area is also very safe.

The Riu Jalisco in Puerto Vallarta Mexico amazing

I have been over a dozen times and we'll keep coming back

Dreams in Playa Mujeres we were there in March they had a great teen club and kids club. We booked through Costco and got our own car transfer from the Cancun airport. Very safe and secure.

Barcelo Mayan. It has everything. Mall, mini golf, bowling, arcade, pool table, ping pong, surf ride, water park, teen disco, haunted house, dolphins. You can just let them loose on the resort and not worry about them at all. The food was really good. There’s also a toddler water park and the kids club is so good. My kids did cooking classes in it and got to sit in for a dolphin show. It’s clean with a really nice beach and tons of pools with swim up

I know the absolute BEST club med agent! Natalie at
Margarita Travel - Club Med Travel Agency she is brilliant!

Try Bahia Principe in Tulum, Mexico. There are activities for teenagers as well as for young kids.
Shannon
Ken I agree with this. The Bahia also has a shopping area in the middle of the three resorts that has great nightly activities.
Chelsea
I agree!!!! So many fun sports and activities throughout the day. I also enjoyed the food. Taco Tuesday was

Best resort for all ages! Water park, cenotes, animals, ruins, bikes, all on one resort. So much to do you will not get bored or have to leave the resort. https://www.sandos.com/sandos.../eco-all-inclusive-resort...
Amanda
Jennifer would this resort be horrific for someone with mobility restrictions?
Susan
Jennifer I went to Dreams Peurto Adventras with a broken leg and rented a scooter. It was the best $$ I spent. BUT I recommend Sandra Caracol. Fun for all ages.
Jennifer
Amanda they have golf carts they drive guests around in if needed. The resort is built on mangroves so it's all boardwalk. Much easier if they have a scooter or chair. It is a large resort.
Natasha
Jennifer I just got back from this resort! It was so lovely!!
Trevor
I agree with those who have recommended the Barcelo Maya near Play del Carmen. Tons to do for all ages. The Palace is the luxury one but all 5 are great. The water park is small but we all loved it

Ocean Riviera Paradise in Playa Del Carmen is great for all ages. The food is incredible. There are 6+ restaurants with everything from Italian to Japanese food. Plus there is a buffet open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a kids water park with numerous pools throughout the resort. They have amazing entertainment, a great spa, a bowling alley, a disco and a beautiful beach area. Most importantly the service is the excellent.
Patrick
Totally loved Sandals whitehouse jamaica

Dreams in Cancun is our favorite! Such great food, drinks, atmosphere.

Recently enjoyed at stay at Vidanta - the Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta México. Aka a 20 minute drive from Puerto Vallarta airport. This property was insane! With over 17 pools and schedules of activities. If you are not a member with a time share company rooms are also listed on airbnb. It would be a great spot for all ages.
Picture of sunset at favourite dinner spot on resort.

Thanks so much to everyone for the suggestions! Lots of possibility here. Much appreciated.

Riu jalisco was awesome! We were there with our 12 and 14 yrs old 2 weeks ago and everyone had a good time. Food is really good, waves ate fun to play in and lots of activities in the pool. There's also a bike rental not too far from the hotel and a super fun bike lane to ride to the warf. The owner is a super friendly guy from Toronto.

Planning a Family Vacation to an All-Inclusive Resort
When it comes to planning a family vacation that caters to multiple age groups, including teenagers, an all-inclusive resort can be an excellent choice. These resorts offer a wide range of activities, amenities, and dining options, ensuring that everyone in the group finds something to enjoy. However, with so many options available, it can be challenging to determine the best fit for your family.
Activities for Teenagers
One of the main concerns when traveling with teenagers is keeping them entertained and engaged. Look for resorts that offer a variety of activities specifically tailored to their interests. Some popular options include:
- Water sports (e.g., snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding)
- Adventure activities (e.g., zip-lining, rock climbing, hiking)
- Sports facilities (e.g., tennis courts, basketball courts, beach volleyball)
- Teen clubs or hangout areas with games, movies, and social events
Resorts like Club Med are known for their extensive activity programs and dedicated staff to keep teenagers entertained.
Quality of Food
Dining is a crucial aspect of any all-inclusive resort experience. Look for resorts that offer a diverse range of dining options, including international cuisines, themed restaurants, and buffets with a wide variety of choices. Pay attention to reviews that highlight the quality and freshness of the food, as well as the variety of options available.
Additionally, consider resorts that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences, such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-friendly options.
Other Considerations
Beyond activities and dining, here are a few other factors to consider when choosing an all-inclusive resort for your family vacation:
- Location: Mexico and the Caribbean offer numerous all-inclusive resort options. Consider factors like travel time, direct flights, and proximity to attractions or excursions.
- Accommodations: Look for resorts that offer a variety of room types and configurations to accommodate your group size comfortably.
- Entertainment: Check if the resort offers nightly shows, live music, or other entertainment options that cater to different age groups.
- Amenities: Assess the resort's amenities, such as pools, beaches, spas, fitness centers, and childcare facilities (if needed).
While Club Med is a reputable and well-known option, be sure to research and compare other all-inclusive resorts in your desired location. Read reviews, check resort websites, and consult with travel agents or experienced travelers for personalized recommendations.
Remember, the key to a successful family vacation is finding a resort that caters to the interests and needs of everyone in your group, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.

Hi all. Trying to plan a family vacation for 4 families (ages 2 to 71) to an all inclusive resort. My main concerns are activities for the teenagers, and the quality of the food. Any suggestions? We love Club Med and are looking at it again, but wondered if there are other similar resorts out there? We need more than a pool and a beach. Any suggestions welcome. Mexico would be the easiest to get to, but would consider the Caribbean as well (not Atlantis).
