Did you mean Schwartz's? Definitely a must eat. Also, bagels from wood-fired ovens, there are various locations downtown.

In Quebec City, walk down the tiny lanes. There are cool cafés with fresh croissants! Yum!

Quebec City I have tons of stuff. Lived there for three years. What do you like?
Lara
Okay back... for food L'affaire est ketchup (reserve!!!) or its sister restaurant, Sapristi in the old town is really not bad, Billig for crêpes, Nina is a fun spot for pizza, La Guele de Bois is good for creative French foo, le renard et la chouette for something different and amazing meat and cheese platter. Clocher penché for a fancier brunch but Cochon Dingue and Bugel if you want to go where the locals eat. Frites Alors for poutine.. if not Gaston. For a view have brunch at Le Ciel but food is not up to much. For beer Barberie, Korrigane, Griendel and La Souche - Le Projet is good if you want to try a bunch. Paillard downtown is fun for pastry, go to JA Moisan to go to the oldest grocery store, chocolat favoris for ice cream, and take the ferry across for a view and a beer.
Picardie on Cartier is cute and has good pastries, Cantook on St. Jean is a gem for coffee, and St. Henri is new and great. Go inside La Maison de la Litterature and the Morrin Centre. I could go on... enjoy - an amazing city!

Auberge Bonaparte is an amazing hotel in Old Montreal and has a super yummy breaky included. I use it for my clients ALL the time and have never had a bad review. Have stayed there myself as well - it's very central and just lovely!

Auberge St. Pierre in Quebec City is super lovely as well!

The Musee du Fort, a little building across from the Chateau Frontenac, houses an excellent 1/2 hour A/V show on the history of the city of Quebec - excellent intro to any touring you do. Also, be sure to walk on/up the Promenade des Gouverneurs under the walls of the citadel and also, if you can, travel outside the city to see the Montmorency Falls.
Brent
Thank you for all the recommendations I have some research to do!

Auberge J.A. Moisan B&B is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. It is located over the grocery store of the same name, which is apparently the oldest in North America. Great rooms, wonderful hosts and breakfast to die for. Check out trip advisor: https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review-g155033-d663101...
