Palace isn't worth the extra money

I stayed at the Riu Santa Fe 10 years ago and it was a real party resort. We were there for a wedding and it was a great time. It is split in two sections, one being on the beach right next to the Riu Palace and the remainder of the hotel is behind the two resorts. Google Maps should give you a good idea of the layout. tripadvisor reviews have really gone down in the recent years and I would recommend the Riu Palace. sunwing has some great pricing departing on Nov.14th.

We enjoyed the Royal Decameron! It's more small and quiet than other other resorts I have been to so depends what you like - it is adult only though! I found the "plus" package worth the little bit of extra money for unlimited reservations at the a la cart and access to the rooftop pool. It was a nice distance in between Cabo and San Jose to go and check both of those cities out!

We just booked in at The Marquis (leaving next week). Never been but it looks very nice and gets good reviews. We’ve stayed at the Hyatt Ziva before and loved it as well although there were a lot of corporations staying there at the same time so it was disappointing to see all their logos in all our pictures. Plus there were times we were asked to move away from the pool because they were setting up for special events. That was very annoying.
