Make sure you apply for a Brazilian visa asap. I'm also going on March and the visa is a lot of work!

I am self employed and they want a Affidavit for self employment. I am stuck on this as they do not give a template. Any suggestions? Also, how long did yours take once everything was sent in? Thanks!

I'm from Brazil and I have one important tip: be careful. Brazil is not safe !
Cheaper airlines are gol (voegol.com.br) and azul.
It's fun to go on vacations there, be careful but enjoy!! Great fresh fruit and fruit juice, awesome food.

Hello! Can you please give me more information re: Safety? I have heard I should not wear jewellery, robbery can occur especially when withdrawing money.

Raelene don't want to spoil your trip, just make you aware. Don't wear jewelry, try not to take eletronics (ipad, laptop, etc)
Don't use your iPhone on the streets or public transit like we do in Canada, dont carry large amounts of cash, use credit card (I know it's more expensive and that's a bummer, but it's safer)
Be aware of your surroundings and 'keep your mouth shut' so people are not aware that you are a foreign tourist on public spaces...
Shopping malls are normally ok.

Eduardo thank you very much for the information!

My travel agent hired an outside company to prepare it. They had all the templates, cost was around $225

  • Pack lightweight, breathable clothing for the warm weather, as well as insect repellent and sunscreen.
  • Try the delicious Brazilian cuisine, such as feijoada, churrasco (grilled meats), and acai bowls.
  • Consider purchasing a Brazil travel guide or joining a guided tour for a more in-depth cultural experience.

Enjoy your trip to Brazil, and don't hesitate to ask for more specific recommendations as you plan your itinerary!
