Have heard it's not worth it. Notoriously difficult to find flights that qualify for the pass.

thanks. was thinking of backpacking southeast asia and with it, itll cost way cheaper for my itinerary. I did not see much reviews about it so I'm a little unsure about purchasing it.

It's absolute rubbish. Bought it and can't use it tried my iPhone and iPad and MacBook there is some technical glitch that keeps looping me in circles and won't allow me to book. Went to an air Asia retail store to complain in Bangkok and they gave me a phone number that doesn't work
Ma
oh wow.

Getting separate air tickets would be a better choice as you won't be stuck with one airline. Airasia is great but their flights aren't guaranteed non-stop as most planes transit through their biggest hub at Kuala Lumpur. But they aren't the only budget carrier. Other airlines such as Malindo Air who include baggage and inflight entertainment can be pretty attractive. Lion Air is cheap for flights to Indonesia. Scoot can bring you to places in China or Japan cheaply(look out for their morning glory deals on Tuesdays, 8am Singapore time, +8GMT). There are more airlines such as Tiger Airways, Nok Airways, Jetstar etc.

My Experience with the AirAsia ASEAN Pass
As an avid traveler, I've always been on the lookout for affordable ways to explore different destinations. That's when I stumbled upon the AirAsia ASEAN Pass – a flexible travel pass that allows you to explore multiple countries in Southeast Asia with a single booking.
What is the AirAsia ASEAN Pass?
The AirAsia ASEAN Pass is a travel pass offered by AirAsia, a low-cost airline based in Malaysia. It allows you to book multiple flights within a set number of credits, covering destinations across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, and more.
My Experience
I decided to give the AirAsia ASEAN Pass a try during my recent trip to Southeast Asia. I purchased a 10-credit pass, which allowed me to book up to 10 flight segments within a 60-day validity period.
The booking process was straightforward. AirAsia's website is user-friendly, and I could easily see the available routes and dates. One thing to note is that the pass does not include baggage allowance, so I had to purchase that separately for each flight.
Throughout my travels, I found the AirAsia flights to be reasonably punctual and comfortable for short-haul flights. The airline staff was friendly, and the overall experience was satisfactory.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Affordable way to explore multiple destinations in Southeast Asia.
- Flexible travel dates and routes.
- User-friendly booking process.
- Opportunity to visit lesser-known destinations.
Cons:
- Additional fees for baggage and other services.
- Limited seat availability for pass holders, especially during peak seasons.
- Flight changes or cancellations can be costly.
Final Thoughts
Overall, I had a positive experience with the AirAsia ASEAN Pass. It allowed me to explore multiple countries in Southeast Asia without breaking the bank. However, it's important to be aware of the additional fees and plan your travels accordingly.
If you're a budget-conscious traveler looking to explore the region, the AirAsia ASEAN Pass is definitely worth considering. Just make sure to read the terms and conditions carefully and plan your itinerary in advance.
