Mexico is 4 hours away. All inclusive that way it doesn't break the bank when you get there. We go to Puerto Vallarta all the time. We stay at the friendly hola and it is the best hotel ever very very family-friendly

Not sure if air miles still does this but my mom got all our Disney passes years ago and park hopper all just using her air miles alone so that saved a lot of money if they still do that!
Lynsey
They do!

Rent a house instead of hotel - you can make meals and much more comfortable than a hotel.
Susan
Yes.... it’s cheaper to make your own meals and shop for food and clean up after the meals etc etc etc ... but it’s not a vacation for whoever is doing all of that.
Chris
I hear ya - but if budget is a concern...I love renting a house, but there is only 2 of us.
Maryanne
We alway rent a place with a kitchen. Somehow cooking and cleaning when on vacation doesn't seem like work. Plus we get very tired of restaurant food. Try vrbo.com

Silverwoods and Boulder Beach in North Idaho. A fantastic family summer vacation.
Norma
Cruise? Lots of deals. All inclusive (except booze) and they have Kids clubs that are amazing!
Mike
it is pretty cheap to fly to LA. We have stayed near Laguna and Newport beach for a reasonable amount. Disney, Universal are pricey but the kids will like it. Getty Museum is almost free and worth a day. It costs almost nothing to walk around Hollywood or Venice beach for a day. So much to do

Cuba is super cheap right now

I took my family to Huatulco last April 3600 for 4 of us. Booked with flight centre. Barcelo resort was amazing for kids!

Affordable Family Vacation Ideas
Planning a fun and memorable family vacation can be a challenge, especially when you're on a tight budget. But don't worry, there are plenty of affordable options out there that won't break the bank. Here are some ideas to consider:
National Parks
National parks offer an incredible opportunity to explore nature and create lasting memories with your family. Many parks have camping facilities, hiking trails, and educational programs that are budget-friendly. Some popular and affordable options include the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Yosemite National Park.
Road Trip
Road trips can be a cost-effective way to travel and experience different parts of the country. You can pack snacks and meals, stay in affordable motels or campgrounds, and visit various attractions along the way. Consider driving along scenic routes like the Pacific Coast Highway or the Blue Ridge Parkway for a memorable journey.
Beach Vacation
A beach vacation can be a great option for families on a budget. Look for destinations with affordable rental homes or condos, and pack your own food and drinks to save money. Some budget-friendly beach spots include the Gulf Coast of Florida, the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.
City Exploration
Exploring a nearby city can be an exciting and affordable adventure. Look for free or low-cost attractions like museums, parks, and walking tours. You can also take advantage of public transportation and find affordable lodging options like Airbnb or budget hotels.
Camping Trip
Camping is one of the most budget-friendly vacation options. Many state and national parks offer affordable camping sites with access to hiking trails, fishing spots, and other outdoor activities. You can save money by bringing your own gear and cooking meals over a campfire.
Remember, the key to an affordable family vacation is being flexible, doing your research, and focusing on creating memories together. With a little creativity and planning, you can have an amazing time without breaking the bank.
Blessing
Hey guys! What would you recommend for a family vacation (6 ppl), that won't break the bank. We were looking into florida to go disney world, but the tickets just to get into the park for the 6 of us is quite steep and that's not factoring in flights/transportation/ hotels. We're pretty open to whatever
Thanks!!
