Scoring Cheap Hotels in Vegas on the Weekend
Las Vegas is a popular destination for weekend getaways, but finding affordable accommodation on the Strip or nearby can be a challenge, especially during peak seasons. However, with a bit of planning and some insider tips, you can score cheap hotels in Vegas on the weekend without sacrificing comfort or location.
Timing is Key
The first and most important tip is to be flexible with your travel dates. Weekends in Vegas are generally more expensive than weekdays, so consider shifting your trip to mid-week if possible. Additionally, avoid major holidays and events, as hotel rates tend to skyrocket during these times.
Book in Advance
While last-minute deals can sometimes be found, booking your hotel well in advance is your best bet for securing the lowest rates. Many hotels offer discounts for early bookings, and you'll have a wider selection of available rooms to choose from.
Consider Off-Strip Hotels
Hotels located just off the Strip tend to be more affordable than those right on Las Vegas Boulevard. However, you'll still be within walking distance or a short ride-share trip from the action. Some popular off-Strip options include the Rio, Palace Station, and Palms Place.
Look for Package Deals
Many hotels offer package deals that bundle accommodations with other amenities like show tickets, dining credits, or resort fees. These packages can sometimes provide significant savings compared to booking each component separately.
Join Loyalty Programs
If you're a frequent visitor to Vegas, consider joining the loyalty program of your preferred hotel chain. Members often receive exclusive discounts, upgrades, and other perks that can help offset the cost of your stay.
Be Open to Off-Peak Times
If your schedule allows, consider visiting Vegas during off-peak times, such as mid-week or during the summer months. Hotel rates are generally lower during these periods due to reduced demand.
By following these tips, you'll be well on your way to scoring cheap hotels in Vegas on the weekend, allowing you to enjoy all that the city has to offer without breaking the bank.
