Check out air bnb experiences. They’re a new product type on air bnb. They’re apparently super vetted by air bnb (more than the places to stay). We did a few phenomenal ones in Paris just now and I’m sure there are great ones for Rome too! Just take a look at the ratings on each one and pick a subject matter that you think you’d like.
Also, an app called “Like a Local” is great and there are some great tours in that.
Finally, self guided, the Rick Steves audio guide app is great and he has few in there that are awesome. Not to mention the ones he lays out in his book on Rome.
