Really?? You’ve been to Japan many times but never Tokyo?? That’s funny
but yes it’s awesome! Soooo much to do. Shibuya crossing and shopping in area. Shinjuku is great but even better is the park that’s there. Lots of cool themed restaurants. Seeing the city from the top of the metropolitan tower. Only thing I regretted seeing in Tokyo was the palace. It was an utter waste of time as you don’t actually see the palace. Just the grounds. And it ain’t anything special (I was actually mad lol because they make you walk for ages to get to nothing)

I highly recommend getting tickets for TeamLab Planets, what an amazing experience. We went later in the evening on a weeknight and it was dead in there. One of my Tokyo highlights. Otherwise...
- Walking around Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Akihabara is fun
- Yoyogi Park and Shinjuku Gyoen Gardens are nice if you're craving some greenery
- Pokemon Centre and Aquarium at Sunshine City
- If you're a Disney fan, I looooved DisneySea. It's so much different than any other Disney park in the world.
- Robot Restaurant is a fun time if you're into kitsch and over-the-top lights and robots.

Janna I also did teamlab planets and it was amazing! We went midday during the week and didn't have to wait
I also like harajuku, Shibuya, and Shinjuku. The sumo wrestling area is called Ryoguku. We got tickets to a sumo demo because regular sumo matches were out of season at the time... We got tickets on viator, and this was a big hit with everyone!

Janna Teamlab Planets looks amazing, already did the Robot Resto but would go again if buddy is into it

We went to restaurant where Kill Bill & crazy 88 scene were shot. Also, went to live fish market at 5 am to watch tuna auction. If you can catch the season, there is sumo fight trainings or tournaments. Japanese pancakes are killer. Must try pod hotels.

Teamlab! I didnt get the chance to go to this but have only heard great things. Go see a baseball game! Studio Ghibli (gotta get tickets a month prior via lottery purchase), Shimokitazawa! Maricar if you have the chance. Yoyogi Park will be lovely for Cherry Blossoms and same with kiyomizu-dera temple. I went apr 2017 and have my itinerary all up on my blog http://boketto.rosannau.com/
