Stockholm: We bought an attraction pass (cheaper than individual entry) that included all the major sights: Archipelago boat tour, Vasa Museum, Royal Palace, Nobel Prize Museum, Skansen, Nordic Museum, etc, etc.. Copenhagen: Tivoli Gardens, Christiania, Our Saviour's Church (go to the top for the best views of the city!), Kronborg (in Helsingør), Carlsberg Brewery, Glyptotek, Canal tour, etc. etc.. Place to see between Copenhagen and Stockholm: Øresund bridge to Malmö, Kalmar, the forests of Småland (amazing camping in this area). So much to see and do in both countries! Enjoy your time in Scandinavia.

Things I quite enjoyed:
Stockholm: Gamla Stan, Fotografiska Museum, Vasa Museum, Västerås (about an hour from Stockholm), the tunnelbana (metro) stations.
Copenhagen: Kronborg Castle, a.k.a. Hamlet's castle (about an hour from Copenhangen by train)
Helsingborg
Gothenburg: Haga, the archipelago (I've heard the Stockholm one is nice, too, but never made it there myself.)
Skagen (doable as a day trip from Gothenburg)
Bergen, Norway is well worth the trip if you have the chance to get there also!

We spent three weeks in Denmark last year touring around. If you have time hit the West Coast, it's gorgeous and less populated, we stayed in Esbjerg and visited Hvide Sande, the landscape around Skagan is beautiful. We loved Aarhus, especially the Aros Art Gallery. Silkeborg as well We love nature, art/ museums and are foodies. We were so impressed with the number of nature walks that featured art and sculptures on the trail, the unique art galleries (Louisiana, Trapholt, Arken) and the food (check out Reffen in Copenhagen, you won't be disappointed). I guess it also depends what you enjoy and how you travel, we seek out the less touristy things and rent a car to explore all the hidden nooks and crannies we find...its amazing how often we are driving along, see a sign for something and simply go check it out only to find something unexpected. My fave part of travel
